    About the Business

Marutama ramen's Creamy Chicken broth (toripai tan) is made with NO MSG and NO Imitation flavours. Best quality of this soup is from its 100% pure chicken broth prepared with a detailed cooking process, which every Marutama ramen stores prepares daily from every early morning. Like food we want to serve to all our children, we also homemade our thinned and wavy noodles that suit perfectly with the creamy broth. It is especially popular among kids because kids are used to only eat natural ingredient foods. Our homemade noodles are prepared daily with no preservatives. Marutama ramen's it's creamy, aromatic and mouth-watering flavor that has a hint of seaweed flavor comes from the AOSA, which is exported directly from Japan. AOSA is sea lettuce that is packed with protein, fiber, a variety of vitamins and minerals. It's elegant flavor suits perfectly with MARUTAMA RA-MEN's dedicated creamy chicken broth. Many customers enjoy our homemade beautifully boiled and marinated AJITAMA (soft boiled egg). Ajitama brings a savory taste to our ramen. It's freshly prepared and marinated every day onsite and with its creamy golden yolk makes it even more irresistible. MARUTAMA RA-MEN's CHA-SHU is delicately braised by many hours and marinated with our special soy base. It's very tender, juicy and packed with flavorful pork and soy umami. Above all, we want to deliver, just like our customers, Marutama ramen truly cares for the quality and authenticity flavor that everyone can safely enjoy.…

This place is definitely authentic Japanese Ramen, they may not have different variations of soup bases or toppings. But what they do make they make with perfection. In my opinion, i think the ramen is so good. The meat is perfect and tender every time I go there, like mouth watering tender. The soup bases aren't always my favourite depending on what i order. But the original is super good and we tried the rice dish that i cant spell in english and it was amazing. maybe my favourite. The noodles are traditionally that size i believe, but i could be wrong. We always have our noodles that size. Udon is thicker and ramen is thin noodles. It is expensive, but the ramen is soooo worth it!! This place really seems like they pride themselves on quality. Mmm yum im already drooling.

Oh it says they take credit, but my boyfriend had to run across the street to the bank, so its my belief they do not.

Ramen featuring Chicken broth, thin white ramen noodles instead of the traditional egg noodles.

The broth is a bit on the salty side but flavorful.

The staff is very good in making sure if there is any allergies in the group and ask the kitchen to clean their dishes before cooking for the person with allergies.

A great lunch on a cold rainy day in Vancouver. The broth is chicken based instead of pork but tasty nonetheless and full of body. Noodles are thin and soft and cooked perfectly. Some other ramen places like al dented with a little more hardness but I always like my noodles soft. This place can get busy since it's small with counter seating as well as tables. Ambiance is nice spartan Japanese motif and service is very good. If you're in the area or at Stanley Park (we walked from the Aquarium), I highly recommend.

Needed to find a quick bite near the hotel and we wanted ramen after a morning hike. So we found this place in a walking distance from the hotel.

We got there and the serving staff seated us shortly. Great service, quite prompt and very welcoming. The store is roomy and airy. And I can smell the aroma from the broth.

We ordered 2 bowls of ramen: shoyu ramen and chashu ramen. Both tasted great and not too salty. Only thing I'll comment on is the thin noodles, as I prefer the option to choose a thicker noodle. However the region of the ramen is only for thin noodles. So that's all good. I like the sign that tells you how to order the texture of the noodles.

This place is a must try.

We came on a rainy Monday afternoon. It wasn't busy at all. We were going to go to ramen danbo, but our Uber driver recommended this place. I'm not sure if he had an ulterior motive to go to a closer destination.

I wasn't too impressed with the ramen. The broth was a little bland.

      Service was fine.
The space was cozy, nothing spectacular.
I would not return nor recommend.

Literally the creamiest ramen I've ever had in my life. Super delicious and hearty meal. Service was quick and helpful! Casual ambiance and very cute bright environment. Definitely a unique type of ramen and must try if you're in Vancouver!

Been here couple of times, first was couple years ago during pandemic, sadly their quality seemed to have gone slightly downhill, just doesn't taste quite the same as before they changed their name.

Delicious! Got seated relatively quickly (make sure your whole party is there), considering it was a Friday night. I ordered the ASA ramen (chicken broth, ground nuts and chili) which was fantastic. Pork was thinly sliced and delicious and egg was on point (as was the cabbage?? Surprisingly good). Watch out that the egg is marinated in soy and pork, so not Muslim friendly. Great ramen with a cup of hot tea!

Driving along Robson I remembered enjoying Maruhachi years ago during one of my first trips to Vancouver.

We took a chance to revisit memory lane and was delightfully rewarded with a great meal.

Came in right at opening, most patrons were quickly in and out, savoring a good meal before heading elsewhere. The dining area remains small, but service was quick and gracious.

I naively ordered a spicy cha-shu ramen, while my wife got the cha-shu tamago ramen. The creamy chicken broth warmed my soul. The cha-shu paired perfectly with the seaweed, green onions and noodles.

But how wrong was I to skip on that soft boiled egg. Luckily the wifey offered half of hers knowing I shouldn't miss out. Packed with flavor, it was an umami bomb!

Heard from my colleague this was his fave ramen place so decided to give it a try! I ordered the simple tamago ramen. Love how it's a whole egg and not stingy with half an egg! Came with two slices of cha shu and some spring onions and some seaweed! The infamous fried garlic chips is now extra which is a little much. I found the broth to be extremely salty! Not sure if they put too much salt...
I prefer thicker noodles rather than thin but they made the thin noodle Al dente just the way I prefer it! Hate soggy noodles! Overall it was decent! Came right when they open so no need to lineup so another plus!
