Amazing brunch spot with unlimited options on the menu to make everyone in your party happy! They almost always have a wait, especially on the weekends (1-2 hours) so definitely put your name on the list early. The inside is bright and welcoming and they have some patio seating as well. They have a full bar as well as some specialty cocktails that they offer for brunch.
For food we tried a few different items and shared at the table:
- chia seed pudding: I'm normally not a fan but my friend had tried this previously and said it was a must and it change my feelings on chia seed pudding! They use coconut milk and fruit puree and it was truly different than any I've ever tried
- gold digga: really amazing twist on poutine - the potatoes are cooked perfectly and the sauces/cheese on top is delicious. This was definitely my favorite dish.
- huevos in a burrito: tasty chipotle sauce over a breakfast burrito
- French toast: had an orange zest which was interesting and an acquired taste. Toast was nice and fluffy though
So many options to try here so would definitely come back for more!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

We had a delightful brunch experience at this restaurant. The food was incredible. I ordered the Get Shorty Rib Poutine which was a standout. The Philly-style beef short rib was tender and full of flavor, perfectly complemented by the fresh vegetables. Each bite was a delight. The poutine was amazing as well.
The Tuna Crudo was equally impressive, featuring fresh ahi tuna that was simply amazing. The quality of the fish really shone through, making it a memorable dish. We also sampled items from their kids' menu, which were well-received by the little ones.
To top it all off, we enjoyed their mimosa flight, which added a fun and refreshing touch to our meal. It was great to taste all the different flavors. The overall vibe of the restaurant was amazing. relaxed, welcoming, and perfect for a great brunch. We'll definitely be coming back next time we visit.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

This gnocchi carbonara breakfast dish they have is such a comforting dish. I loved how soft the gnocchi was. I wished there was more bacon to be quite honest. But the dish was rich but not overwhelming. It was just enough. One would think that the dish is small and it wouldn't make anyone full. However, once you get into it, you end up having left overs . I was also thinking, what if squeezing lemon juice could add to the flavour but that's just me reaching . I do think about this dish from time to time so I'm coming back for it again.
Service was okay. We went at a peak time so they were doing the best they can which is completely understandable.
I loved the ambiance. It's always filled with people. I loved the interior but this time we were seated outside.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Carmeli,
Thank you for visiting and for your thoughtful review. A touch of lemon and more bacon may be nice adjustments. I’ll share your comments with our chef. 4 stars is good. I would love to earn the 5th regardless of our busyness. Please reach out to me directly with any further feedback or for future reservations. Michael - yaletowngm@eatoeb.com - Jul 22, 20241 check-in
Although the wait was insane, I loved our late brunch here! Thankfully they allow for you to join the Yelp waitlist from afar, so my husband put us on while we were still at our apartment.
My classic Eggs Benedict with rosemary ham, salad and duck eggs (substituted for chicken eggs) didn't look like anything special, but it was delicious! Just the right amount of bread to hollandaise sauce to ham to eggs. I also loved the dressing in the salad. However, for an extra $2.50 PER duck egg, next time I'll just stick with the standard chicken eggs.
My son's perogi's with duck confit and eggs was delicious as well. I didn't get a photo of it, but my husband had the scallop and bacon dish with half salad half potatoes - and he also polished off all of his.
This place was worth the wait, but go on a day you are prepared to wait. If you're hungry, go elsewhere and pay them a visit another day.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

When I read the words "Banana Cream Pie French Toast" on Yelp, I knew this was the spot!! All of our breakfast dishes were decadent and delicious, service was excellent, the egg-themed decor was amusing, and the views of the marina were the icing on the cake!
Their farm-to-table menu has lots of staple food genres with a unique twist to them - such as several intriguing varieties of poutines and French toasts. We went with the Chasing Chickens Breakfast Poutine, the Canadian Lobster & Shrimp Crepe, and of course the Banana Cream Pie French Toast!
The poutine was hearty and delicious- very rich cheese curds, brown butter hollandaise, and perfectly poached eggs on a bed of steak fries. The lobster and shrimp crepe was packed full of generous chunks of lobster and shrimp, scrambled eggs, and topped with that lovely hollandaise - it was fabulous!
And just like their menu says - that Banana Cream Pie French Toast is "fully worth the calories" haha!! It wasn't too sweet and had a lovely banana cream and slices on top of some classic French toast slices - excellently plated and prepared.
Their coffee is delicious too - this was definitely our fave breakfast on our little Vancouver trip. Prices are pretty decent considering the portions and quality. Service was attentive and so welcoming.
They have a lovely location - right across from the marina - so it's great views from the indoor tables and patio seating alike and the area is pleasantly walkable. We walked from our downtown hotel so I can't speak to the parking.Helpful 32Thanks 8Love this 35Oh no 0Business owner information

Excellent bfast join with great view. Ask to be seated outside and enjoy the marina.
We tried GOLD DIGGA BFAST POUTINE and CANADIAN LOBSTER & SHRIMP CREPE for the savory and FRENCH TOAST TRIFLE for the sweet. Loved all of them! I have to thank Yelp for the ideas on what to order. I would've had option paralysis otherwise as everything on the menu just looks Super Yum!
A tiny dent to the otherwise perfect meal was finding out that we actually have this restaurant in Newport Beach SoCal. We are visiting from LA so originally wish to eat at places not available in SoCal lol.
Oh well! It was a great brunch and nothing just couldn't ruin our smiley face when we left the restaurant!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0Business owner information

I've been meaning to try OEB Breakfast in California, so I was excited to see that there was one right by my hotel in Yaletown! This location was even better because it had a view of the marina.
We came on a weekday morning so there was no wait and we got a table right by the window. Ordered the A-Lott A-Laks breakfast poutine with half breakfast potatoes and half spinach and the Holy Crab!! eggs benny. Both dishes were excellent! It made me regret not having visited the one in California sooner!
Highly recommend OEB Breakfast for breakfast/brunch - especially if you can come during the week and avoid the long waits!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Hi Daph,
Thank you for visiting our Yaletown location and taking the time to leave a 5 star review.
We hope you enjoy the California location just as much. - Jun 2, 2024Seated via Yelp Reservations
I got the avocado toast for brunch on a Sunday. Not really the best toast I've had. The bread was too long which made it hard to eat. The jam didn't really make sense with the toast.
My husband got the Korean Bulgogi Benny Sends me which he loved. I would recommend getting that over the toast if you're picking between.
I made a reservation online and there was no wait! The restaurant looked really busy but the service was still fine.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Coming up from Seattle for a day trip and this was our first stop. The egg Benedict and poutine dishes were really good. My other friends also liked their waffle. This place is also busy so definitely recommend to join waitlist ahead of time. Service was standard. Definitely a place to try if you like eggs.

One of the best breakfast spots in Vancouver. The location is amazing, right next to Marina so you can go get your breakfast and then take a ferry to Granville market!
It gets busy on weekends with Wait-times of about 60-75 mins so I would advise joining their Yelp waitlist in advance.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Do not come here if a nice and easy morning is what you're looking for. Yes great food, but in my humble opinion it's not a reason for mistreating customers that are just looking for a better seating option than the one given, after waiting to be seated through the waitlist and not walk in.
Hostess made sure to seat all walk ins before seeing our group, that had a table ready, through the YELP waitlist. And when we went to ask if another table would be possible, as we were in a shared table, a passive aggressive waitress came in and told us we could go somewhere else if our seating wasn't what we wanted.
This is not my first time at OEB and I never had the shared table option before, which wouldn't be a problem on any other occasion, but on this specific visit I brought my parents from out of town and thought we could have a little more privacy. As we were informed we could choose seating if we had booked a day in advance, through the waitlist mentioned.
All in all a really unpleasant experience to remember the place by, and having worked with the public before I was just shocked to see such a rude person interacting with the customers.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
