I'm so glad I chose Parkside Appliance to repair my 1987 Sears washing machine. Rick is very knowledgeable in washer and dryer repair and maintenance. He replaced the transmission and clutch on the washing machine, and it is running good as new. He also did much needed maintenance on both my washer and dryer.
I'm very happy I'm able to use my 37-year-old washer and dryer for years to come. I highly recommend Parkside Appliance!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Marky Q.San Francisco, CA37Nov 9, 2023

I called Parkside Appliance maybe a year ago or so about my washing machine which I was sure was malfunctioning. Upon hearing my description of the problem, they replied, No. that sounds like the way it's supposed to work. I wouldn't worry about it. Or words to that effect. This left me pretty impressed. Fast forward a year or so and a pastry brush had fallen down and gotten lodged in the heating element of our dishwasher, melting onto and fusing with the heating element. Parkside when I called replied that they would likely have to replace the element, after which all would be well, so we scheduled a time for them to come out. When Rick arrived, after graciously rescheduling our appointment due to an emergency medical office visit my wife suddenly required, he opined that he could probably just scrape the melted brush off the heating element and all would be well, and sure enough, it was! Honesty and competence like this just seem to be rarer and rarer these days, so I was mightily impressed to experience both on a single visit. Parkside rates my whole-hearted endorsement, hands down! And kudos to the office staff as well!

My family have been customers of Parkside Appliance for decades now. They consistently deliver high-quality service but at low prices. They are available when you need them and very knowledgeable. It seems like they can fix anything!! Over the years, Tom was so amazing and kind to us. We will miss him very much and are so grateful to have had him in our lives. Rick has continued his legacy and is also excellent at repairs. He is very friendly, as well. Recently, Rick serviced our old coin-operated washer and quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. I truly recommend this family-owned business. They get the job done!!! Thank you, Rick, Tom, and family!

Fixed our washing machine which stopped agitating. Prompt and did a great job without charging a ton of money. Saved us buying a new machine.

After several appliance "repair" people told me that I should just buy a new washing machine, Parkside Appliance came and replaced a broken part at a fraction of the cost.
That's what I am looking for: appliance REPAIR, not appliance REPLACE.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Virginia W.San Francisco, CA114347Nov 3, 2022
Very responsive and great to work with a local, family owned business. They were able to get to us on a Monday morning when I called Thursday night!

This neighborhood repair shop is the greatest. They have worked on my 20 y/o Kenmore gas dryer, and got it back in working order.
Just recently, my 30 y/o Kenmore washer had a nervous breakdown - multiple issues at once, and I began internet shopping for a replacement. But Rick came over, and with a single replacement part, brought the old machine back to life... it actually seems to be working better than ever.
Added bonus: the woman owner who answers and schedules the calls once diagnosed a problem I had with the selfsame washer, and told me how to fix it myself- saving me the repair bill!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Dave W.South San Francisco, CA3175Aug 13, 2021
I usually try to fix things myself. But I hadn't the patience for this dishwasher drain issue after a couple of attempts.
Linda answered the phone at Parkside Appliance and went through a checklist of basic troubleshooting to help me avoid the cost of a service call. Based covered, or so I thought, I scheduled a replacement of the dishwasher drain pump.
A couple of days later, Rick arrived and quickly discovered that the air gap was clogged. As he whisked away the debris, Rick lightly joked that I had done the hard part of clearing the drain, twice, and missed the easy fix. I was glad that I had overlooked that minor detail instead of having to replace a perfectly functioning pump.
Overall, I was happy to pay a minimal service fee and was glad to support this honest small neighborhood business. I would entrust Parkside Appliance to any needed future repairs.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
