The Sewing Machine Place

The only thing I will say is that I write very few reviews and when I do I am so impressed that I take the time to do it. My wife and I have purchased two machines from Angi and Chris and would not consider going anywhere else. They are friendly approachable and have helped us when the manufacturer has been stumped. Also Cheryl who works there is fantastic. If you need service or want lessons on how to use your machine this is the place you want to go. If you have heard the phrase Bigger is not always better this is the place proves it wrong. They treat you like family and are always there to help. Can't think of any other place to go for sewing, embroidery, vacuum repairs sales and service.

After a fiasco at an East Bay repair shop, I realized that though they list themselves as being capable of repairing sewing machines, and even sell sewing machines, most of these shops that also repair vacuum cleaners have no clue as to what it takes to repair a device as complex as a sewing machine.
After more research on Yelp, I found the Sewing Machine Place. The instant Angi looked into the back of my old Viking machine, I could see that she knew her stuff. Three weeks later, my machine is humming along ready to stitch together a unicorn pillow for the next generation!

Wonderful place. We've taken our sewing machines for maintenance and repair and feel this is the best place for professional service and know how. Recently we took our Bernina and also an older Elna SU and was very pleased with the repair services. Highly recommend - and thank you Angi

Bought my serger here way back when, had three different machines serviced or repaired over the years . Angie very knowledgeable and helpful. Prices have gone up over the years as any place, but quality still constant. Helpful on text if you need quick advice..

I was delighted to have my vintage Pfaff 1222 brought back to life. It's a very sentimental sewing machine for me and when it stopped working again this week I brought the dear old girl back down and fingers crossed that they will be able to revive her once again.

We all have those businesses that we cannot give enough five star reviews for! Angi is the sewing machine whisperer!! She is very busy and in high demand so keep in mind you must be patient when leaving a machine with her. After Angi brought my old baby lock serger back to life i enthusiastically used it a LOT so when it stopped working i had to come see Angi to have it fixed! I also purchased a used brother Serger from her which i LOVE. Be sure to make Angi your first stop if you are learning about sewing. The sewing machine place is the best.

I inherited a Babylock Crafter's Choice that had "mysteriously ceased to function" one day on my grandmother. Having no idea what to do with the machine to fix it, I wandered into a Joanns to ask them. Immediately, one of the employees emphatically told me to go to this location. I am so glad that I was directed here.

Not only did The Sewing Machine Place know what was the issue with my machine and proceed to fix it. They offered me free advice, a quick little run down of the parts, and every little bit of help a new seamstress could imagine. I'm never going elsewhere for my sewing machine issues or to seek sound advice!

I accidentally stumbled into The Sewing Machine Place after a shopping morning at The MIllbrae Farmers Market. It was the best accident, as I met Angi, the owner. She is a pleasure to work with. Very friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. I ended up purchasing a used Evolution Baby Lock serger, for a great price and I'm in love with it. Angi also gave me a lesson on how to use the machine and offered her availability whenever I have questions. I highly recommend Angi and The Sewing Machine Place.

I was looking for place where they fix curtains, I didnt have hanger so needed to sew it. After stopping att couple places and no one willing to take on a project. They took it, researched what i needed to get and hooked me up with a store. After bringing what was missing they worked on it and for extra materials she even made me pillowcases!!! How awesome is that?
