Warriors Down Orediggers

BUTTE- A promising start went downhill with Tech dropping their second in two days. No. 5 Lewis-Clark State Warriors down Montana Tech 93-75.

Montana Tech (14-12, 5-7) drops their second game of the weekend.

The Warriors (23-3, 8-3) win their second straight.

Montana Tech started off hot on a 10-0 run leading 10-2 in the initial minutes. L-C State rebounded and took a 44-33 lead into the break.

Picking up their tempo later in the first frame, L-C State would shoot 62.1-percent from the field before the break.

The Orediggers shot 35.7-percent from the field in the first half, but hit 5 of 10 from beyond the arc.

The Warriors came out of the gate hot in the second set and led by as many as 27 with 11:03 to go in the game. Tech would chisel away at their lead but came up short.

Tech shot 38.7-percent from the field in the game and only hit 19 of 32 free throws.

The Warriors would finish shooting 60.3-percent from the field in the game and 76.2-percent from the line.

Adam Greger and Bryan Bock both put in 17 points in the game. Greger finished with four rebounds and Bock had five with
three assists and three steals.

Dan Simon had 16 points and six rebounds.

The Orediggers are home again next week. Tech hosts Rocky Mountain College on Thursday at Kelvin Sampson Court.
