Media Guidelines

Montana Tech Sports Information Department provides assistance to the public and media for coverage of all Oredigger sports. The Sports Information Department can provide materials such as rosters, player bios, photos, statistics and games notes.

Credentials: Media Credentials for reporters, broadcast media, photographers/videographers are required for football games. There is no press space available in the Sky Box at Alumni Coliseum. Game notes, rosters and stats are available in the Sky Box prior to the game and at halftime.

All other sports do not require credentials. If you wish to have a spot at the media tables courtside, please contact the Sports Information Department in advance as space is limited.

Visiting Radio: Radio stations or web broadcasters for opponents must request credentials and notify the Sports Information Department prior to the event. Space is limited to one visiting broadcaster at all sports.

Internet: Public wireless internet is available throughout Montana Tech's campus. To join the Montana Tech public wireless network, select the network MTGuest. When logging on to the internet, go to www.mtech.edu where you will be prompted to register an email address to access the network.

Interviews: Post-game interviews with players and coaches are available to the media after the teams' post-game meetings immediately following competition. Players and coaches will be available on the field or outside their respective locker rooms. Interviews during the week with players and coaches need to be arranged through the Sports Information Department.

Cell phone numbers for student-athletes will not be given out and student-athletes will be instructed not to speak with media without first being contacted by a member of the Montana Tech Sports Information Department or one of their coaches. Contacting student-athletes through social media is prohibited.

Injury Information: Montana Tech Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will fully abide by federal HIPPA standards with regards to release of injury information. Montana Tech Athletics does not release an injury report or comment on injuries.
