Orediggers Roll Past the Thunder of Concordia

Montana Tech Doesn't Allow a Point in the Second Quarter

BUTTE, Mont.- Montana Tech did not give Concordia University of Edmonton a very warm welcome, routing the Thunder 91-34 in the HPER.

The Orediggers jumped out to a 29-11 lead after the opening 10 minutes. They then blew the doors off, putting up an additional 23 points in the second quarter, and not allowing the Thunder a single point over the second 10 minutes.

Everyone who was dressed played for the Orediggers. The Diggs finished with four players in double digits, led by Kia Wasson who drained 15 points in the contest on 5-12 shooting. Kia also added five rebounds and steals in the game. Liv Wangerin had a great night, finishing with 13 points, and eight rebounds. Macy Mayer put down 13 points, and eight rebounds, and Butte's own Brooke Badovinac got into double digits with 10 points, along with seven rebounds.

Montana Tech out-rebounded the Thunder 57-29, and caused 33 Concordia turnovers.

The Thunder were led by Rachel Harvey who finished with 12 points, and six rebounds.

The Orediggers are now off until December 15th, when they will host Briercrest at the HPER.
