EASTON, MA — Three Easton fire trucks, and four Easton police cruisers, were among the 75-vehicle convoy that saluted health care workers at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Monday. The parade of sirens and lights happened about the time of the 3 p.m. shift change for medical center workers.

Easton Fire Chief Kevin Partridge, Easton Police Chief Gary Sullivan and Holbrook Regional Emergency Communications Center Director Steve Hooke helped coordinate the regional effort to say "thank you" to hospital workers along the Brockton facility's North Pearl Entrance.

"This was a terrific way for us to show our appreciation to local health care workers," Chief Partridge said. "It means a lot that so many first responders and departments from the area were willing to take part."

Hooke is also the Brockton Emergency Management Director.

"The saying that has been used a lot during this pandemic is that we are all in this together, but when it comes to first responders and healthcare workers it is very true," Director Hooke said. "It was terrific to see so many different agencies coming together to acknowledge the employees of Good Samaritan Medical Center for all that they've been doing since the onset of this pandemic."

"We were happy to give thanks to the hospital workers for what they have done during this pandemic," Chief Sullivan added. "No group has done more work on the front lines battling this disease, and it's important to recognize the doctors, nurses and other healthcare workers for all they've done keeping our communities safe."
