Here's Where FEMA Will Be In Westfield Today

Residents are encouraged to ask FEMA reps questions regarding storm recovery from Hurricane Ida.

WESTFIELD, NJ —Federal Emergency Management Agency reps will be in Westfield again on Wednesday.

The city is urging residents to use the opportunity to get their burning questions out about Ida recovery.

FEMA will be in the following locations on Wednesday:

• Ward 2
• Southern sections of Wards 3 & 4

Damage in Westfield included a school for disabled children which suffered more than $3 million in damage, and some students had to be relocated. In fact, the day of the rainstorm, three custodians had to rush to the roof and be rescued as floodwaters rose. The city also had to move dozens of cars.

Communities near or containing rivers, such as Summit and Cranford, were under a flood warning for days after the storm dissipated.
