Brooklyn Motorcyclist, 17, Dies In Crash On Belt Parkway: NYPD

The incident happened on the Belt Parkway near West 12th Street on Monday, police said.

BROOKLYN, NY — A 17-year-old boy from Brooklyn riding a motorcycle was killed when he crashed into a concrete barrier on the Belt Parkway, police said.

On July 8, Jeremiah Diaz-Ramos was driving a 2017 Honda motorcycle west on the Belt Parkway when he failed to properly navigate the roadway and collided with a concrete barrier, causing him to be thrown from the vehicle, police said.

No other vehicle was involved in the incident, police said.

When police arrived at the scene, they found Diaz-Ramos unresponsive with head and body trauma.

He was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Coney Island, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
