Rye Neck High's Chris Richart Nominated for 'Heart of a Giant' Award

Each week, high school football players from the Tri-State area are nominated for their "unparalleled work ethic and passion for the game."

Rye Neck High School defensive back Chris Richart was nominated recently for the “Heart of a Giant” award, sponsored by USA Football.

Each week, high school football players from the Tri-State area are nominated for their “unparalleled work ethic and passion for the game.”

Richart, who has worked hard to return to the field following wrist surgery, says that the strong bond among him and his teammates has helped make the team better than expected.

“When you are out on the field, nothing else matters besides what is going on in the game,” he told USA Football.
