  2. Brookhaven officials offering 50 percent discount on outstanding parking violations. The town says there are over 12,000 outstanding violations accumulating $3.5 million. The amnesty program will run from Feb. 15 through March 15 and the offer will be mailed to people with outstanding violations who are eligible for the program. (Sachem Patch)
  3. ICYMI: A Sachem principal was duct-taped to a wall after students reached a fundraising goal. Tarmac Elementary School Principal Brenda Almendarez-DeBello allowed for the fun if students hit the $10,000 fundraising goal, instead raising $15,000 as part of a fitness-based fundraiser with the Harlem Wizards.
