BUCKS COUNTY, PA —Fairs and festivals.

That's the name of the game usually in July once the Fourth of July holiday moves along.

After nights of fireworks and days of holiday festivities, the calendar has cleared to make way for plenty of fairs and festivals over the rest of the summer going into September.

One festival is celebrating its 70th year.

The St. Michael's Fair in Levittown runs through Sunday. It's been going on in Lower Bucks County since 1954.

Other fairs and festivals this weekend are in Dublin and in Morrisville, which is holding its 2nd Annual Music & Food Festival on Saturday.

Also, Sesame Place is holding a "Gotcha Day" weekend. The Bucks County Playhouse just began “Last of the Red Hot Mamas” in New Hope.

St. Michael's Fair Celebrates 70th Anniversary

The St. Michael's Fair proudly boasts its standing as the oldest and largest fair and carnival in the Lower Bucks County area. The family-oriented fair has been putting smiles on the faces of young people and those young at heart since 1954. The fair takes place in Levittown at 66 Levittown Parkway. It opens at 6 p.m. St. Michael’s offers its traditional meatball sandwiches and French Fries. Click here for wristband specials.

World Premiere Of "Last Of The Red Hot Mamas" Opens

Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope brings the world premiere of the musical, “Last of the Red Hot Mamas,” to the stage through July 27 at the historic New Hope venue. It's the second production in the Playhouse’s 2024 season. (Read more on Patch)

Sesame Place Celebrating Tango 'Gotcha Day' Weekend

They're calling it "Gotcha Day." "Gotcha Day" runs through Sunday for Tamgo at the Middletown Township amusement park. Guests can celebrate the second anniversary of Tango, Elmo’s adopted puppy, who debuted at the park in 2022. (Read more on Patch)

Summer Tours To Showcase Oscar Hammerstein's Bucks County Home

The Oscar Hammerstein Museum and Theatre Education Center in Doylestown will offer tours of the legendary lyricist’s Doylestown home on Fridays at 11 a.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. in July and August. The center is a nonprofit dedicated to the preservation of Oscar Hammerstein II’s Doylestown home and telling the story of his legacy as a librettist, lyricist, humanitarian, and mentor. "Summer In The Sand" Pops Up At Peddler's Village

For the third consecutive year, Peddler’s Village will host a summer-long display of large sand sculptures — this time as a summer surprise for guests. Free and open to the public from now through Aug. 31, "Summer in Sand" showcases five incredible sand sculptures depicting favorite summer activities: watching baseball, camping, embarking on an overseas adventure, playing games and solving puzzles, and lounging at the seashore.
