AIA Thailand extends its care to employees and their mothers by promoting love and bonding within every employee's family through the AIA Mother's Day 2024 event in honour of National Mother's Day. The event provided an opportunity for over 100 employees to bring their mother to participate in activities such as annual health checkups, blood pressure monitoring, pulse checks, urine tests, complete blood count, blood sugar level tests, cholesterol level tests, kidney function tests, uric acid tests, chest X-rays, electrocardiograms, and flu vaccinations. Additionally, there were many other heartwarming activities, such as patchouli essential oil workshop, special-priced shopping for mothers, and photo booths to capture the special moments with mothers. Jasmine plants were also given as a token of love from staff to their mothers. Moreover, the event featured health checkups for employees, conducted by Hua Chiew Hospital. AIA Thailand, led by Ms. Rapiphon Vongtongkum, Director of Corporate Communications & Branding presented an accident insurance policy with a coverage value of 2,200,000 baht as a token of appreciation to Thailand's first female Olympic boxing hero, Bee "Chanjam Suwanpeng” who made history by winning a bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The policy with a coverage value of 2,200,000 baht was also awarded to "Coach Wijarn”, Wijarn Ponrit, Head Coach of the Olympic women's boxing team and a former Olympic gold medalist in 2000. AIA Thailand, in collaboration with the world-renowned Tottenham Hotspur Football Club from England, organized a fitness activity under the name “Special Workout Session with Coach Lily”. The session was led by Tottenham Hotspur Football Club International Development Coach, Lily Jervis. Executives and over 50 employees from AIA Thailand participated in the event and enjoyed a High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workout, an exercise alternating between intense and moderate movements, boosting fat burning while enjoying the creative experience. This activity is part of the “Rethink Healthy – Adjust Your Mindset for a Better Life” campaign, which encourages everyone to redefine the meaning of "healthy". This accolade acknowledges the remarkable success of the “AIA One Billion Trail 2023,” the groundbreaking trail running event in Thailand. The AIA One Billion Trail, held on the scenic route between Doi Inthanon and Doi Suthep in Chiang Mai, is Thailand’s inaugural team trail running event. In 2023, it brought together 400 teams of four runners each and raised over 4-million-baht funds for the Thai Red Cross Society's education project. The proceeds went toward supporting the Thai language literacy for underprivileged children in the remote areas, marking a significant achievement in social empowerment and health promotion. The AIATH internship program came to a culminated and energized group project presentation event, marking the last day of an 8-week intensive program on the rigorous training, coaching and mentorship journey. On this day, the interns were divided into three groups to present their innovative projects with the support of mentors. The presentation session was a blend of excitement and anticipation as each team demonstrated their knowledge acquired from the program. A panel of five senior management commentators including Khun Sarunya Tienthavorn, Chief Human Resources Officer, Khun Auraratana Jutimitta, Chief Strategic Bancassurance Alliance Officer, Khun Chiraporn Kanistarath, Chief Corporate Solutions Officer, Khun Eng-Siang Tan, Director, Product & Proposition and Khun Jia ann Chew, Director & Chief Actuary engaged deeply with the interns, posing insightful questions as well as offering constructive feedback. This activity not only tested the interns understanding but also provided them with valuable perspectives on how to enhance their work, making the experience both fun and intellectually stimulating. The winning team with the most outstanding project was awarded 10,000 baht for their hard work and dedication throughout the internship. Also, all interns received internship certificates as a token of the program completion and contribution.
