What's up, everybody, this is Malik Monk,

and these are my ten essentials.

[upbeat music]

My basketball shoes, Kobe's.

I only wear Kobe's.

These are like the God of shoes.

I ain't had no foot injuries, anything like that,

never tweaked my foot in these shoes.

And these exact ones right here they made for me, Nike did.

I get a few.

But these were made for my dog, Bear,

he's a Neapolitan mastiff,

big brown, this color.

Huge, he weigh like 175, man.

Head is humongous.

So yeah, they made these, man,

and these are my favorite ones I ever got,

'cause he just means so much to me.

My PSP, a lot of people don't have these anymore.

I travel a lot.

I got a few of these,

I got two red ones, a green,

and I think I got a black one too as well.

I grew up with this a lot,

I was on it a lot way more than my Playstation,

the big controller.

'Cause my mom would get mad it being on the TV so much

so I could sneak this around, turn the volume down.

I think I got Fight Night in here right now.

I play Grand Theft Auto a lot.

What else I play, Madden 2K.

It's like a little game disc right here

and you just open the back

and just close it

and turn it on and play.

Oh, it's there right now, but yeah.

My next essential is this Gatorade, man.

The can one though.

The can is different than the bottle.

I don't know why,

it just taste way better.

And the lime is my favorite,

I drink that during the games.

I kinda like mix that with water

so it won't be too sweet.

The old Gatorade commercials was the can,

I remember they was drinking these

with the yellow sweat coming down,

the orange sweat, yeah man.

I just love it from there.

But when I got to the NBA,

we went to Sacramento, it was crazy,

I play with Sac now,

and we went to Sacramento

and they had only the can of Gatorades

and since then, I love them.

Couldn't get them but when I got to Sac,

I get cases to my house, so.

Floss Sticks.

I smiled a lot, my mama always on me about my teeth,

she's always told me they're yellow, so,

I'd carry these around.

I have a few in my pocket almost everywhere I go.

Just to pick your stuff out the teeth.

You never know when the camera's around,

so you gotta be ready.

My next essential is my cologne.

I got a lot of cologne, a lot of fragrances.

I was gonna bring them but I didn't wanna put anybody on

to see what I was smelling like.

But this is my favorite one right now,

the City of Stars from Louis Vuitton.

It's like a summer smell,

it's just classy, it just goes,

and I think the fragrance stands out

when you walk by somebody

and they don't know who you are and you smell good,

they, oh what is he wearing?

My mom wears a lot of fragrances,

I think I got that from her,

just mixing the fragrances.

I mix mine too sometimes

so you won't know what I'm wearing.

You definitely won't know what I'm wearing.

But yeah, this right here is amazing.

If you don't have this, you should go get this.

This next essential is my watches.

These my favorite ones, these three,

so that's why I brought these.

This was a gift for my birthday last year, my Vit,

Trevor Ariza got it for me.

This rolly is just classic two tone,

you could wear this everyday, everyday wear.

I just think the plain jane's just a classic fit.

It doesn't stand out too much.

I'm from the south, Arkansas,

we just big on class

and just being like real smooth, laid back.

I hung around a lot of older people when I was little

so they always had a watch on

that through the thing together.

I like your watch behind the camera right here, that's nice.

But yeah man, the watches,

it just makes everything flow together, I feel like.

If I come here naked,

it just makes everything flow better.

My snacks, I always had a Welch's fruit snacks,

tropical or the mixed berries.

I got a sweet tooth.

I go to the dentist a lot.

Of course, I got my floss with me.

They always tell me I gotta stop eating candy but I can't.

The green one is melon berry,

the pink one is strawberry,

purple is berry punch,

red is wild cherry,

and the blue is raspberry.

These are the best flavor to me, the wild berry.

I like being different

so I think these stand out to me.

My next essential is my wallet,

of course, you gotta have this.

It just fits in my pocket perfect.

Smooth.

Never falls out.

Easy to carry around too.

I don't like the big bulky ones with all the cards,

I just need a quick one.

And it's just easy,

I won't lose it,

it looks good, goes with everything.

And yeah, it's my favorite wallet.

My next essential, my headphones,

these right here are the Beats.

I can't remember when I got these.

I got like 10 pair.

I listen to all type of music though,

so I hear different sounds with these.

We might play at five

and I'll be listening to like alternative music.

We might play at 7:30 and I'll be listening to rap.

We might play early, I might listen to some country.

I might listen to R&B, jazz, emo music,

I listen to everything so.

I got a lot of women that I grew around

'cause my mom, they put me on a lot of things, man,

a lot of music.

Keisha Cole, Phantasia, Curt Franklin.

I think music is what makes everybody just level.

Music brings everybody together I feel like too as well.

My Band-Aids, playing basketball, you get cuts, court burns,

anything man,

playing with my homies, wrestling, fighting, anything,

you get cuts.

So I always gotta have a pack of these around.

And luckily, Band-Aid sent me some,

like a big ol' package, man, with my name on it.

Lik Gang.

They was saying, Band-Aid Lik or Band-Aid Gang in Sacramento

so they just, I think they put that together.

During the season,

I got a little scratch on my face,

and I was wearing a Band-Aid,

kinda like the Lil' Nelly thing.

It blew up in Sacramento

everybody loved it,

got shirts made, things like that,

and I was just lucky

to have Band-Aid sent me a pack of every color.

I didn't know they made color Band-Aids until then.

I got like a, it's a big ol' tub,

Band-Aid products,

shirt,

a sweatshirt,

some sweats, things like that.

So yeah, it was nice.

My slides, man, the Marni slides to be exact.

These are my favorite ones.

I think got almost every plain color.

Some are like way more fuzzier that looks crazy,

and some is just smooth like this.

It kinda reminded me of the Grinch too,

but there's another reason I like 'em.

And red my favorite color, so I had to get the red ones.

They just feel like a cloud.

I might walk out of here, change into these,

to relax the feet, man, I play basketball,

so I be on my feet a lot.

These the best ones to relax in for me.
