Peter Howell Toronto Star Raising an ecstatic hot dog middle finger to the negativity of modern times, “EEAAO” urges us to free our minds and accept that it’s OK to be strange. Rated: 3.5/4 Mar 8, 2023 Full Review Caryn James BBC.com Delightfully bonkers on the surface, this inventive extravaganza from the directing team called Daniels (Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert) has a deep layer of family feeling and a well-earned emotional pull at the end. Dec 27, 2022 Full Review Larushka Ivan-Zadeh Metro Newspaper (UK) The most brilliantly bananas movie of 2022 absolutely lives up to its title. Michelle Yeoh kicks all types of butt as a time-travelling laundromat manager in a multiverse of madness. Dec 27, 2022 Full Review Zach Youngs InSession Film t’s so very funny, sweet, and gross in the best ways. There simply isn’t anything else like it. Jul 3, 2024 Full Review Joonatan Itkonen Toisto.net It is everything for everyone, everywhere. Don’t miss it. Rated: 5/5 Jul 3, 2024 Full Review Sam Kriss The Spectator This film can’t quite commit to its interdimensional-war gimmick; it’s an appendage, mostly played for laughs, to the real story, which I kept waiting to arrive -- and when it did, I wished it hadn’t. Tim S Maybe my expectations were too high, I liked the actors and the preview had peaked my interest. Just nonsensical or lazy at times. My whole family walked out of the theater and voted it thumbs down. Not walk out during the movie bad, but a terrible aftertaste bad. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/16/24 Full Review Ivan N one of the few movies that can make me cry, and trust me, this is a quality index Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/22/24 Full Review Johan K It's a very cheap knock off of every film ever made. It's what ppl do when they ran out of ideas. You want to see a real movie? Go back in time at least a few decades Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/17/24 Full Review S N I would give this movie 0 stars if I could! I don't understand what critics and audiences saw in it. In my opinion, the fact that this movie won Best Picture at the Oscars and received positive reviews is absolutely baffling. It feels like everything that goes against what is "normal" is being celebrated as the best. It's as if the world is upside down and minds are twisted. It's like saying the clock should go around towards the left instead of towards the right! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/16/24 Full Review Sami F Love the actors. Love the messaging behind it. Love the unhinged chaos and hilarity. Only gripe I had with it, is that it was kinda too much to handle the first time (despite the title), a bit overstimulaitng for me. But after a few rewatches I've grown to it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/10/24 Full Review Eli D I hear so many good things about this movie that I wanted to force myself to like it…but I simply couldn’t get into it. The acting was great, love the casting, and I enjoyed the cinematography. That being said, the story was hard to follow and at times silly or uncomfortable (sucking on hotdog fingers??…). If your idea of a good movie is to go to the extremes to be different than you’ll like this a lot. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 07/10/24 Full Review Read all reviews
