What to Know

Critics Consensus

Less a course correction than a compounding of everything that tangled up its predecessor, The Scargiver is an uninvolving space opera full of flat notes.

Audience Says

Rebel Moon: Part Two - The Scargiver is just as visually stylish as other Zack Snyder epics, which helps make up for the flat story and thinly written characters.

Jesse Hassenger Guardian As a playground for Snyder’s favorite bits of speed-ramping, shallow-focusing and pulp thievery, it’s harmless, sometimes pleasingly weird fun. Rated: 3/5 Apr 27, 2024 Full Review Kyle Logan Chicago Reader This space opera sequel doesn’t quite capture the worldbuilding magic of its predecessor. Apr 27, 2024 Full Review Clarisse Loughrey Independent (UK) The film is egregiously long for what it is: simply Seven Samurai dipped in a thin glaze of rebels-vs-empire interstellar intrigue. Rated: 2/5 Apr 23, 2024 Full Review Calum Cooper Flick Feast A complete mess that not only fails to replicate the thrills of the titles that it blatantly rips off, but it disrespects its audience while doubling down on all of Snyder’s worst habits as a filmmaker. Rated: 1/5 Jul 19, 2024 Full Review Ankit Ojha Cinema Elite Just like “A Child of Fire,” its sequel does feel… stressfully held back, for lack of a better term, but less so than the first installment, which was admittedly hyper-focused on the buildup to the impending conflict of “The Scargiver.” Rated: 4/5 Jul 8, 2024 Full Review Archi Sengupta LeisureByte.com There’s not much to look forward to in Rebel Moon Part 2 because the storyline feels disjointed and the actions, although looking great, feel stale and cliched. Rated: 2/5 Jul 4, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Dakota A Dude most porns have better writing than this movie. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/20/24 Full Review Be L Really bad - Kora is called the Scargiver by Nobel before the scar has been revealed to him; but the movie needs a punchy tagline. This movie mimics the great space operas of the past, with scenes cut and paste (slightly blurred around the edges, as is Snyder’s style) but fails to form a decent watch. Many elements on their own make for a good spectacle on a large screen, but the movies falls apart with many ridiculous fillers - hover cart pulled by an animal - grain harvested by hand - a space travelling people travelling between planets to get grain harvested by about 30 people - rebel armies who only show up after the battle has finished. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/17/24 Full Review Fredrik E I would like to see an edit with just the story. I believe that two minute movie would not be a waste of my time. Because the slow-mo train wreck of a movie is. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/04/24 Full Review Audience Member Visually impressive, everything else fell off. Slow mo saddo. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 07/03/24 Full Review Mark O The first movie was very average. This is a vast improvement in my opinion. Much better Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/29/24 Full Review Matteo P As good as the first one. Waiting for the next. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/29/24 Full Review Read all reviews
