Leave your expectations at home, take off into the emptiness of space and let the movie speak for itself. As others commented, there's sadness and loneliness, and yes, there is, but it serves a purpose. Very emotional.

For four years, a mysterious dust cloud has been enveloping Venus, and scientists couldn't wait to study it. To get samples for analysis, astronaut Jakub was chosen, who went on a journey. Although for the others it was a scientific expedition, for Jacob it became a journey inside himself. Left alone, he concentrated on his thoughts. Loneliness made him think about the life decisions he had made, the correctness of his attitude towards his loved ones and the reasons for his loneliness. Despite his worries, he still had a mission, and he wasn't ready to give it up out of fear. He might not come back, at least not the way he was before. This film is developing slowly, but it does not need dynamics to reveal the story. Thanks to the wonderful shots and musical accompaniment, the film leaves an incredible impression.

Defies logic. 20mins in we find our lone space traveller unraveling. Is his companion real? Apparently so, and yet no procedures are followed. Contact with ET? Finding out their method or ingress, origin, composition, intention, reporting findings etc? Aside from the obvious ridiculousness, would he ever have been sent into space if Sandler couldn't handle the alone time or if his marriage was on the rocks? Utter nonsense.
