Stephen Romei The Australian It's no Wake in Fright, but that's hardly a criticism. Rated: 3/5 Nov 28, 2023 Full Review Jake Wilson The Age (Australia) The balance between realism and abstraction isn’t maintained quite until the end, which is effective in its way, but less than a fully convincing resolution to what has come before. Rated: 3/5 Nov 27, 2023 Full Review Hanna Flint London Evening Standard The Royal Hotel simmers with the heat of oppressive testosterone at a pub in the Australian Outback. That is, until it boils over with cathartic female rage. Rated: 4/5 Nov 6, 2023 Full Review Calum Cooper Flick Feast The discomforting nature of its delivery may divide certain audiences, but the observations it makes in regards to male behaviour is as powerful as it is maddening to those who recall similar experiences. Rated: 4/5 Jul 19, 2024 Full Review Connor Lightbody TAKE ONE Magazine with two narrative features under her belt, both as striking and as sharp as a shattered whisky bottle, Green is a filmmaker one should take notice of...a thriller where respect is more scarce than water in the drought-ridden town Rated: 4/5 Jul 4, 2024 Full Review James Croot Stuff.co.nz While cleverly giving the story a crowd-pleasing finale, Aussie director and co-writer Kitty Green’s take just never quite engenders the same sense of voyeurism – or nausea – that made the documentary Hotel Coolgardie such unforgettable viewing. cindy Love Julia Garner!!!!! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/18/23 Full Review Ice B This movie was hard to watch, and hard to stop watching. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/17/23 Full Review Ron S It passed time. Well made film but what was the point. Character development minimalistic. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/15/23 Full Review Jaheesh Garner was pretty good. The movie was edgy and was exciting. The plot falls apart though if the hotel just hires one good bouncer with a stick. Extremely unrealistic for the sake of making a somewhat tripe point. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 10/15/23 Full Review Penny E Acting was superb plot was great suspenseful. Overall fantastic movie. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 10/15/23 Full Review Kenny Unequivocally one of the worst 15 movies Ive ever seen. Julia Garner is a fabulous actress, so how she got wrapped up in this horrible production I dont know. There is no character development, there is no discernible plot and it is just an overall horrible film. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/15/23 Full Review Read all reviews
