Luke S After first seaon my opinion was mixed but I continue watching Valhalla because I loved orginal Vikings. Second season was poor for me, but I still continue watching...and I'm glad I did. Third season was beyond my expectations, one of the best Viking TV show now for me. They pretty much did Game of Thones in this season, Plenty of good characters to follow, lots of good scenes and GoT situations. Now I want more. Great season! It's hard to write a review without going into extreme details on the writing for each character on what I would have done to help this season out. Freydis I never had a problem with being keeper of the faith. She should have got to take care of her "problem" which could have closed quite a bit of extra nonsense in some episodes. Then, that could have led to Harold and Leif continuing to be on their journeys. Watching 6 episodes of Harold make bad choices after getting so far was painful to me. Even though later he recognizes his greed was his downfall. For entertainment purposes that could have been consolidated and still the viewer would know he had growth. I could go on and on picking apart why this season didn't land well. I guess we could say they did just enough to not Dexter or Game of Thrones it. Rated 2/5 Stars •  Rated 2 out of 5 stars 07/19/24 Full Review Tijs v The dialogue is really bad at times, the pacing is atrocious as characters seem to just teleport across the world, and none of the grand scale battles we saw in the original Vikings series are present. The ending also seems dumb as they all just decide to make up and live happily ever after. The main characters are also invincible while the side characters are just killed off in droves. Rated 2/5 Stars •  Rated 2 out of 5 stars 07/16/24 Full Review Audience Member I watched it so must have just about tolerated it, but watching a skinny pretty cat walk model type physically dismantle a viking leader made me picture a short green haired producer sitting on he throne stroking her cat. While ok, it lacks the autheticity of its predisessor which its self was not perfect. With this one you definitely feel you are in Hollywood.
