Overall Satisfaction with Guru

We use Guru as an intranet, and way for teams to develop and share process documentation. It is used organization-wide. We use some of Guru's triggers to automatically surface relevant information through the daily workflows of our staff. We have attempted to use the notification features of Guru as well to spread pertinent policy changes.

Pros

  • Searchability and indexing of resources
  • Easy-to-use interface for developing process documentation
  • Ensuring information referenced is current, with verification status presented in an obvious manner.
  • Embedding other content in Guru cards

Cons

  • The AI generation feature does not process images, which can lead to incorrect information being provided
  • Integration with data catalogs, such as Atlan
  • Structuring of groups/permissions model
  • Guru helps us efficiently disseminate information across the organization
  • Guru helps us quickly build our process documentation and help guides for new internal products, reducing training time
  • Guru helps us keep information current, preventing costly mistakes from using out-of-date information
Guru's UI is incredibly intuitive and easy to navigate. Furthermore, Guru does a fantastic job of indexing our business content and making it searchable and easy to find what you're looking for, quickly. The features are well described and the help documentation is ample to enable us to quickly determine how to use Guru in the ways we intend.

Do you think Guru delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Yes

Did Guru live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Guru go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Guru again?

Yes

Guru is fantastic for developing and sharing organization-wide policies and procedures, newsletters, and updates. The triggers feature is incredibly valuable to surface relevant information throughout daily workflows, and it is useful for creating how-to guides.

Guru doesn't do well when used as a data dictionary or catalog, given it's lack of integrations with such systems.
