Wow, no problems for us on the first day of 2008's Cherry Blossom Festival. We got in around 11 am and there was a ton of spaces. We parked close to Hotel Kabuki, but took the elevator into Miyako mall.

Anyhoo, the lot is super well lit and really clean! Elevators are creepy, but that's okay.

Parking rates are super reasonable. It felt like we were there forever, but only less than 2 hrs - so 3.50 total. Sweet! We paid at the machine closest to Hotel Kabuki and thank goodness it was working.

Exit onto Geary, nipped the paid parking ticket and zipped out of there. But whoa, the lot was closed and there was a ton of cars still waiting to get in! So for those who are going, leave early!

Staying at Hotel Kabuki? Save ur self some money and park here instead of their private lot.
The garage leads directly into the hotel lobby.

      No in and outs
$16.00 for overnight parking! a steal in SF!

Next to Hotel Kabuki and is the self parking lot for the hotel. We stayed at the Hotel Kabuki and this garage was easy to get to with wide parking spots. The cost is by the hour and is much cheaper than the valet parking with the hotel. The big negative we saw was that there is a flight of stairs to get up to the hotel elevators that go to the lobby from the P1 garage level. We had a heavy piece of luggage that we had to haul up those stairs. Not sure why the hotel elevator is not leveled with the P1 parking garage.

TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS FOR TWENTY FIVE HOURS

1 day 0 hours 47 minutes - That's how long my car was parked in this garage. The daily fee is $23 max and I didn't need In & Out privileges so it was really convenient to park in here and much more reasonably priced than I expected for a night in San Francisco. It was more expensive to park overnight at the Marriott in Oakland, even while staying in their bridal suite! So I was really happy with $25!

Guest of hotel Kabuki can valet their car for a little bit more than this, but there's no reason to if you don't plan on driving outside of Japantown. The hotel elevators to lobby and rooms can be accessed from the garage. It was very convenient to the hotel and also the Japantown Mall. Everything is really close and only a couple minutes apart, on foot.

The garage was well-lit and I found parking pretty easily on a Saturday afternoon. Two floors of spaces. Cashiers were a little difficult to get answers from. We had validation questions but they didn't seem to know what the validation would get us. We were validated at the Kabuki Springs/Spa, but I'm sure the hotel also validates, as do some stores/restaurants. Don't forget to ask.

      Drive safely!

Great location if you are staying at Hotel Kabuki or want to venture around the main parts of J-town. $23 a day which is not too bad given SF garage prices are usually $35 and above. If you are only parking for a few hours, some restaurants nearby can validate for 1 hour if you dine there.

pros...one of the more inexpensive garages in town. still quite reasonable if you as me. and it makes things so easy and convenient when going to japantown to not have to think where you are going to park your car. the spaces are large enough and parking is quite plentiful as well. the garage is neat, well lit and pretty safe feeling.

if you are staying at the hotel you pay about $25 for the day. which i think is the going rate for most hotels, and hotel kabuki is no exception. i also like that you pay before you leave and you have a choice of human or in this case machine. and it takes all sorts of payments: cash and credit cards/atm cards. once you pay you get out.

cons...wish that if you are a guest at the hotel that you would get some in/out privileges to make things a bit more fun.
