I just got back from having my car repaired here and I had such a great experience I couldn't wait to give them a 5-star review.

The latch on my swing-out trunk door came off, so the door wouldn't stay closed. Obviously this was terrifying seeing as the door could have swung open at any time and hit the car behind me. So with the door jury rigged shut I set out to find a place that could repair it on a Saturday.

I called Sunset 76 and they told me I could bring it in right away. When I got there, the mechanic (whose name I didn't catch) looked at the door, said "No problem, give me 30 minutes!" and recommended a coffee shop down the street. The best part is, they didn't charge me a cent!! This is just the kind of honest and helpful service that makes me want to come back next time I have an issue with my car. I didn't think it was possible to have a completely painless car repair experience, but the mechanic and the woman behind the counter were so friendly I'd actually say it was a joy.

Thanks Sunset 76; I will be back!

These are the fantastic auto technicians from the old Quality Tune Up at 19th and Kirkham and they simply do super work, always a deal, and they only do what is needed - honest and dependable ALWAYS 5 stars. fast dependable reliable qaulity work !!

Finding an honest and reliable mechanic is sadly more difficult than it looks. I've brought a few vehicles here over the years based upon recommendations from Yelp, a tow truck driver, as well as OTHER repair shops and have always found Sunset 76 to be fair in their pricing and honest of their assessments.

During our latest visit, our check engine light had come on for one of our vehicles. These guys not only honestly admitted that they couldn't figure out exactly what was causing it based upon the diagnostics code, but didn't charge anything because they stated that a reset of the sensors was pretty easy to do.

Despite not living in the area, these guys certainly have our business for many years to come!

Simply the BEST!! Honest, accommodating, and consistently delivering great service you can count on. Louis and his crew are fantastic. If they can't do it, they'll give you a great recommendation of who can. But they can do just about everything. We have been going here for years and several different cars. We have always been super happy!

If you want an honest and ethical mechanic, this is your spot. Mr. Lou is a great mechanic and his staff are as well. Honest quotes, fair pricing and excellent service. Been taking care of our family for years and we hope he will for many more.

Honest and reliable every time I bring my car to them. They diagnose the problem quickly and can usually get it back to me within a day or two. Just had them change out all the electronic wiring for my trunk due to a manufacturer defect, and they did it perfectly.

Honest shop. I've taken my cars here on several occasions and I have always been given a fair estimate. Louis has always advised me on what the issue is and the possible options. Van's work has been supberb. Glad I found this honest fair priced shop. Cars serviced here 2003 Acura RSX Type S and 2008 Honda Fit.

We have been taking our cars to Louie for years. We always get great service and all the guys are very professional and go out of their way to save us money. Louie always takes the time to explain everything and gets the work completed in a reasonable timeframe. We think they are great. He has had the same crew working for him forever. I highly recommend them! Louie is an honest and reliable business owner in our community. So glad to have him here!

I took my car in for a repair on my rear brakes due to my Mazda dealership flagging them as being in the "RED". I didn't want to spend the ridiculous amount of $450 the dealership was trying to charge me! Sunset Auto repair said it would be $176 out the door. I know it would be even a better deal if I bought the brakes and brought them in, however I don't have time!
BUT the best thing happened today and this is why I'm giving them 5 stars... they called me an hour after dropp off and told me my vehicle does not need the repair and probably won't for another 6 months!! The dealership lied. Sunset 76 Auto repair was super honest!! They could have gone ahead and changed it and charged me today. THANK YOU for being honest!!!

Had this account since 2010, but haven't actually written a review until now! What inspired me to write this review is the integrity of Sunset 76. I'm sure everyone has their share of stories of being upsold by mechanics..

Well! I dropped my car off on Saturday for a smog certification and wheel alignment. About a half and hour later I get a call that my car is ready and that it doesn't need an alignment! Efficient, honest, and well-priced; I definitely recommend going to Sunset 76!

Side-note: You can drop your car off anytime of day if you can't make it during shop hours. (There's an attendant who will take your keys.) How convenient!

Been going here for years. They do great work at prices a lot less expensive than dealer. Everyone I've talked to has been very friendly and helpful. I've gone in for tires, smog test, air conditioning repair, clutch replacement, oil change, tire repair, brakes etc and always find they do excellent work and DON'T try and sell you anything your car DOESN'T need. Honest. They work on all cars. I've had them repair my 97 VW, 2003 Mini Cooper S, 2010 Honda Civic Hybrid and my 95 Jeep Rangler with 25,000 original miles. You can't go wrong with Sunset 76.
