Box Score DILLON, Mont.- Make it 2-0 for the ladies at the Montana Western Invitational, as the Orediggers take down Bushnell University. 64-49.

The tale of the tape in the first quarter was defense. Bushnell led 15-11 after 10 minutes shooting 30% from the floor and holding Montana Tech to 22%. The Diggs shooting percentage started to increase as they started to handle the pressure that Bushnell applied.

Montana Tech outscored Bushnell 20-9 in the second quarter. The Diggs were led by Liv Wangerin with 13 points at the half. The other big number after 20 minutes was the discrepancy in rebounds. Montana Tech had 30 rebounds in the first half, compared to 16 for Bushnell, and 14 of Tech's boards were offensive.

The Diggs led 31-24 at the break.

The second half was controlled by Montana Tech's pressure, outscoring Bushnell 33-25.

Montana Tech shot 39% from the floor, and 27% from the 3-point line. Their defense held Bushnell to 31% inside the arc, and 12% outside the line. Montana Tech pulled down 51 total rebounds, with 17 of those being offensive.

Individually the Diggs were led by Live Wangerin who finished with a career-high 20 points. Soda Rice knocked down nine points, and Brooklyn Hankwitz ended with 7 points.

Macy Mayer led the Orediggers in the rebounding column, pulling down nine rebounds (5 offensive, and 4 defensive), she also is credited with three steals in 13 minutes of playing time.

Bushnell had three ladies in double digits, led by Ayden Krupke with 12 points, followed by Aspen Slifka and Liv Tjoelker with 11 points each.  

The Orediggers are now 2-0 on the young season and will head to Lewiston, Idaho to play a pair of games next Friday and Saturday at the LC Women's Basketball Tournament.
