Oredigger Offense Blows by Argos 89-57

BUTTE, Mont. – The Oredigger offense went off in the second half downing the University of Providence 89-57.

The Orediggers (19-4, 9-1) finished the first half with an 18-10 run taking a 34-27 lead into the break. Tec shot 34.6% from the filed and went 5 for 16 from deep.

Tech had a fire under them to start the second half opening with a 25-8 run. Caleb Bellach opened the run with back-to-back long balls. Bellch finished with 10 points and 5 rebounds.

Keeley Bake also had a pair of threes and 8 points on the run. Bake finished with 5 threes on the night and a career high 19 points to lead the Orediggers.

Tech shot 65.6% from the field in the second half and finished the game with a 51.7% shooting percentage. The Orediggers were 16 of 18 from the free throw line.

The Orediggers had 20 points off turnovers and the bench produced 40.

From beyond the arc, the Orediggers went 13 for 30 in the game and the Argos hit just 2 of 16.

Michael Ure had 17 points going 6 for 11 from the field and 2 for 4 from deep. Ure finished with 9 rebounds.

Asa Williams had 16 points going a perfect 8 for 8 from the free throw line. He finished with 4 rebounds and 4 assists.

Providence shot 31.8% from the field on the night. The Argos had 18 offensive rebounds but had only 15 second chance points.

Jevon Burton led the Argos with 21 points and 9 rebounds.

Montana Tech is on the road this weekend when they travel to Montana State Northern.
