JOLIET —It might be time for the Joliet Fire Department to open a satellite station on Ohio Street. For the second time in five days, Joliet's fire engines were summoned to Ohio Street, this time, the 400 block of Ohio, for another house on fire. On Sunday, three people jumped from a burning house in the 600 block of Ohio, on the city's east side, near Jackson Street.

This time, according to fire battalion chief Jim Batusich, at 3:30 p.m., the Joliet Fire Department responded to the 400 block of Ohio St. for a structure fire and the first units arrived within 4 minutes. The firefighters saw smoke coming from the roof of the two-story single family dwelling.

One resident escaped the burning building, and they were treated on the scene and released. Other fire crews performed water supply, search, ventilation, salvage and overhaul, safety and support functions. Crews were on the scene for approximately 90 minutes.
