We’re excited to announce a fun and impactful way to make a difference for our campers at Camp Shalom through our recently launched Playground Matching Grant. For every $2 you donate, the Harold Grinspoon Foundation will generously donate $1! The camp community has enjoyed our current Noah’s Ark-themed playground for many years, but it needs replacing due to the significant repairs needed to remain a safe and accessible place to play. The funds from this matching grant will help with the cost of building a new, modern, and inclusive playground at Camp Shalom. To Donate: https://lnkd.in/gQJV9Gz9

Jewish Federation of Madison reposted this
For decades, President Biden has been a true friend of the Jewish community and a steadfast supporter of Israel, describing himself as a “Zionist in my heart” and becoming the first sitting U.S. president to visit Israel during wartime in the aftermath of the horrific October 7th attacks. He has left his mark on the Jewish community and for that, Jewish Federations of North America are grateful and wish him luck in the final months of his presidency and in his future. Our Executive Director Alan Klugman and Executive Committee Board Members (and Annual Tzedakah Campaign Co-Chairs) Lainie Minkoff and Jeremy Tunis traveled to Berlin and Israel this month to participate in a mission with other #JewishFederations leaders. They met with individuals affected by the atrocities of October 7 and organizations working to support them, as well as those supporting refugees and Jewish communities in Europe - witnessing the impact of our Madison community's Israel and overseas allocation dollars at work. Israel Update: Presentation on Mission to Berlin and Israel Tuesday, July 30, at 7:00 pm, on Zoom Join Alan, Lainie, and Jeremy for a special presentation to relaunch our weekly Israel Update to the community. They will report on their recent mission trip to share what they learned about the challenges Israelis are facing after 9+ months of war, how Germany is responding to antisemitism (and what we can learn about our own country's response to this issue), and the incredible work we are doing thanks to our partners on the ground, made possible by our support. Register to attend the presentation on Zoom: https://lnkd.in/gFtcFd4n Read more about the mission on FedBeat: https://lnkd.in/gCwEjD9U Shabbat Shalom!
