Bánh Mì Très Bon - Richmond

The food here are very nice, room are well decorated with lots flowers and plants. The service was nice, she made a little mistake with the order but fix it up in a good manner, I recommend this fine place

I like this place so I may be biased but it has win a few awards so I suppose I am not alone in liking the food here. My wife had the new beef soup that has been added to the menu and she liked it. I chose the lemon grass chicken and there was no shrinkflation here. I have a big appetite and this filled me up. My daughter had a strawberry shake and that was enormous so it justified the $12 price. Generally speaking the prices have gone up a lot in restaurants but Banh Mi Tres Bon is still delivering high quality food with generous sized portions for great value. We made a reservation because there is often a line up, but not too busy this time. The Canucks are in the playoffs and were playing game three, so that might explain it. We asked if they could put the game on three TV and they did.

We ordered several dishes and everything was a letdown except the banh mi. The banh mi was delicious. This was the best banh mi bread I've had in awhile. Fantastic taste but not very generous on the filling.

The shrimp salad roll was mediocre. The vermicelli bowl was pretty disappointing, especially their house sauce for it. The salad was ok but nothing special and the pho can't possibly be why people visit. The tapioca dumplings were too chewy as the skin was way too thick and the filling and sauce were mediocre.

Would we come back? No.

I have been here for 2 times, both times i got the same thing, the banh mi trios, it consists of their signature banh mis but in a much smaller size, if you want to try everything or hard to make decisions, give this a try. It is very very flavorful, i dont have a favourite since i can't pick.

Only thing that made me a little hesitant to go back again is 1. it was extremely slow, it took almost 40 mins for my banh mi to get to the table, other things i understand, but banh mi? more than 10 mins wait is a sin, it wasn't even busy. 2. it is a little bit overpriced isn't it? i mean it is good, but the price? if i pay this much money, maybe the service/speed/portion should be improved?

place is cozy and cute.

(3.5 stars) My parents were visiting and were craving Vietnamese food so we decided to give this place a try. We walked-in on a Sunday afternoon and was seated right away. The first thing I noticed were the quaint aesthetics. I was liking the vibe and colours.

We ordered a few dishes to try including the mini shrimp spring rolls, tiger prawn & pork salad rolls, mini crepes, house special banh mi, and of course, Pho (Tai Bo Vien). Out of everything, the banh mi was my favourite. The bread they used is what stood out to me. The pho had a generous serving with lots of meat and even came with bone marrow. I also liked the presentation. However, the broth was little bland. The rest of the food was okay, it was a little light on the flavour.

Overall, visually appealing both the restaurant and food. Decent value and friendly staff, I wouldn't mind going back. It looked like there was a cafe on the other side of the restaurant. I wouldn't mind trying their pastries and dessert next time.

Lovely ambiance as you enter into the restaurant the first time. The music was good and the customer service was great.

The straight dark French coffee was a delight. Banh khot was crispy and flavorful. The trio 3 mini buns was cute and crispy, we enjoyed it. And lastly, the Bun Rieu was on point, it hit the spot. It had small peanuts which gave it a really nice kick and flavor, and the real crab meat was a surprise, very good dish if you like bun Rieu

It's such a cute small place. Away from the Chaos in Richmond, BC. Food is pretty good if you have an American taste. Beef stew with bánh mì was a little salty and lacks all the Vietnamese veggies such as rau gam. Bánh khít was good. Perfect size. Nước mắm was light. Their coffee with Irish cream flavor was pretty good.
Service is awesome! Attentive and always fill up your water if needed.

I can't get enough of Bahn Mi Tres Bon's shrimp and pork tapioca dumplings - they're simply divine, bursting with flavor and satisfaction!

The best dish I had was the papaya salad, it had chunks of pomelo and a well balanced fish sauce to pair. 10/10

The pho on the other hand was a bit bland, it needed more salt and more seasoning. However, I could tell the food was fresh and well prepared.

The seating is limited and I was by myself so the server asked if I wanted to share the giant family table that had a family of 4 seated on one half. I was hungry so I said yes but another single person was seated with me as well which made things a little awkward. However, I did agree to the seating situation so I cannot complain too much.

3 stars because the best dish was the appetizer. I would try other things again but maybe get it for take out.

Spring rolls were not good. Too much noodles and super bland, where was the herbs?? Also got the bay mi trio sampler/flight and that was super fun. Though two of the sammies were drowning in siracha. It's pricey for what it is.s
