1 Westchester Restaurant Was Just Added To '23 Michelin Guide NY

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — Westchester restaurants are earning an international reputation and the Michelin Guide has added one new restaurant to the latest NY edition.

Michelin just announced that 15 new restaurants have been added to the 2023 Michelin Guide New York, and one of them is in Westchester. Restaurants that are added to the list are in the running for being awarded stars later in the year or being added to the list of Bib Gourmands, although neither is guaranteed.

Earlier this year, three other Westchester restaurants were added to the guide: Town House in New Rochelle, Augustine's Salumeria in Mamaroneck, and La Crémaillère in Bedford.

The latest Westchester restaurant to receive the honor is Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana in Yonkers.

Here's what the Michelin Guide Inspectors had to say about the new addition to the Michelin Guide New York:

Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana, 1955 Central Park Ave.,Yonkers

"New Haven is synonymous with two things: Yale and Frank Pepe's pizza. Open since 1925, Frank Pepe's has earned cult status for its perfectly blistered, coal-fired pizza, but for decades, getting a bite meant taking a ride up I-95. In recent years, Frank Pepe has expanded, and with this location in Yonkers, fans can score their favorite sans traffic and long lines. This outpost's decor and attitude are free from pretension since everything is singularly focused on the pizza. All varieties, whether it's the original tomato pie with mozzarella or a specialty pie, such as the famous white clam, are available in three sizes, so go ahead and order a few different types. Chase the char with a thirst-quenching sip of East Haven's beloved Foxon Park soda."
