Goldsmiths, Lakeside, Thurrock

Visited with my son to purchase a watch and we were dealt with by Danielle. (We were using Tesco Clubcard vouchers on this occasion.) I have to say, we were both really impressed by her excellent service and the watch. I think Goldsmiths are extremely lucky to have Danielle working for them!

goldsmiths Nottingham Victoria street

I got the call on the 25.may that my my partners watch was ready for collection its the second watch we have bought from them. Kevin is the sales guy that has dealt with us from day one and id just like to say that from day one he has gone above and beyond to help me. He said he would do his very best to get the watch in time for my partners birthday and he delivered . I cannot recommend this guy or the store highly enough. 5star service

21st memories

On the 22.5.21 my son picked up his new tag heuer watch bought for his 21st Birthday from the Leicester branch. I would like to say a big thank you to Laura and Sarah for making it such a special occasion. Going that extra mile on everything they did for us.
The watch is amazing, but the fantastic memories you help create are priceless. Thankyou again Laura and sarah

Goldsmiths Lakeside

Goldsmiths - Lakeside was lucky enough to purchase a Rolex here recently, excellent service. Staff went out of their way to make me and, I noticed, other customers feel very welcome. The service & product knowledge was great too highly reccomend seeing George or Danielle here who looked after me very well - thank you.

Really not impressed......

Really not impressed......
We ordered an eternity ring online. We received the obligatory thank you for your order email, which also stated you’ll be advised when to expect delivery by our delivery partners. After waiting a couple of days I called the customer care number. To be told your ring is being inspected for quality purposes. Surely this should already be done! Secondly my delivery would arrive Sunday. It’s now Tuesday & still no sign. Online customer care is appalling. I’m cancelling my order & won’t be using this company again

Tudor/Rolex part renewal.

I took a Tudor Submariner (Rolex Brand) I had bought from a Goldsmiths in 1999 to the Derby branch to ask for a new bezel I'd lost.

I was given some waffle about sourcing fees and/or manufacturing fees for a new bezel, an insistence that the watch be serviced and holding fee of £120 (refunded on work completion). I was was told this would run into thousands of pounds!! Hostage to fortune or what!! Got it sorted from a more genuine company for just over £200. Goldsmiths will rip you off - simple as!

Exemplary customer service in Belfast

I have just had the most amazing experience in Goldsmiths Belfast. Michael is an exemplar of good customer service. He was polite, professional and went above and beyond in terms of helping me pick out the perfect watch. My requirements were not straightforward, involving a return and refund of a birthday gift, new purchase and alteration. Despite arriving into the Belfast store rather late in the day, I felt that Michael and his colleagues were attentive and intent on making sure I left the store happy. Thank you Michael and Goldsmiths Belfast.

My husband bought me diamond necklace…

My husband bought me diamond necklace matching earrings the necklace broke, I paid for repair, it broke again. I went into Bath store they wouldn’t repair the chain, offered to sell a new chain but had none in stock so tried to sell me one showing me a picture. I really wanted a thicker chain and had expected them to offer me a discount off a new chain but they were really unhelpful, I bought mew chain at another very helpful jeweller down the road. Won’t be going there again.

Very Poor Aftercare Service

Very Poor Aftercare Service! Bespoke design purchase. I’m extremely disappointed.
Please go to a more reputable bespoke jeweller with better aftercare.
I had a bespoke ring made using goldsmiths for a special birthday celebration. The process took 6 months. The ring was very expensive indeed (several thousand pounds and I provided most of the original diamonds). The ring is beautiful, however, I noticed after some time that a diamond had fallen out. I contacted goldsmiths who looked at it and said the claw had broken so the diamond had fallen out. They sent it back to the designers for inspection. Goldsmiths then told me that it was customer damage (It was only worn as it was intended to be) and it would cost me several hundred pounds to fix! They also said all of the claws were loose and they would all need tightening???(A manufacturing fault?) I didn’t make the ring so would be unaware the claws are loose and I could have ended up losing precious, sentimental diamonds from previous pieces of jewellery. The designer used said customer damage and I had to pay them to fix the claws, tighten all the existing claws, source a new diamond, polish the ring. This should not have happened to this piece of jewellery. I asked for a second opinion and they suggested I go to NJA at a cost to myself. Having spent such a large amount of money already I would have expected goldsmiths to have offered much better customer service. I will definitely not be using goldsmiths in the future for my bespoke design purchases. My money will be better spent elsewhere. Very Poor Aftercare!

Goldsmiths Rolex BS

Having previously purchased an Omega watch with Goldsmiths decided to make a further purchase of a Rolex Submariner. Long waiting list they said, up to 2 years but was willing to wait.

After almost a year popped back in and now told only with prior purchase of Rolex would I be offered the sub. Clearly unless I’d walked in and checked would never have found out.

Now how much do I need to spend for the honour of a 6k Rolex? 10k, 50k, 100k? Your guess is as good as mine.

Have cut this BS out my life and purchased the watch from a trusted reseller.

Goldsmiths Liverpool One terrible customer service

Goldsmiths Liverpool - City Centre by Liverpool One branch

Terrible service, only focus on sales & money rather than what the customer actually wants. Rude behaviour by staff.

A seller (old man who worked there, maybe 40s, skinny, white skin, grey hair) really tried to pressure me to buy after I made it clear I did not like the products. When I said I was not happy with the fit, the seller insisted it was fine and tried to get a quick sale. After I made it clear I did not want the product the seller was pressuring me to buy he became very rude. It was CLEAR he only wanted money and didn’t care for what the customer was looking for. He did not even have any manners. Terrible service, I won’t ever be coming back again and I do NOT recommend.

Worth a 8 hour trip! Best AD experience I've had

I felt very welcome with Goldsmith as a first-time potential customer for them. During the process of putting myself on the list for Explorer 36 a lot of attention was given to me why I wanted to buy a specific watch. It was also nice that as a salesman they were very interested in the personal reasons behind buying the watch.

Gareth gave me some real insights into the potential waiting times to get a stainless steel Rolex as your first watch. Highly recommend this dealer and as someone who lives in the Netherlands, I would make the travel to buy from them.

Very bad customer care

Very bad customer care. Disappointed! I would not recommend you to buy anything! I paid the insurance for a very expensive ring (£1500). The ring got damaged in the first 4 days of wearing, and they did not accept to change it!

Worst experience buying anything online…

Worst experience buying anything online i have ever had. Slow, unresponsive, unhelpful staff both through emails and on the phone. I have been told by 3 staff they would call me back about issues with my order (namely that i'm now over 2 months in with no updates on it's delivery) and they overcharged me, which they are refusing to refund until i receive the order which could never happen at this point as far as i'm aware. Just awful, unhelpful, unsympathetic and rude.

A real shame given the purchase was intended to be a present to myself I had been saving up for for some time.

I wanted to purchase a Tag Huer…

I wanted to purchase a Tag Huer connected 2020. The advert was saying 0% finance, when I went to basket to finalise I was quoted 9.9%. I have queried this with Goldsmiths and they say it is not available at 0%, yet I am getting adverts on social media from Goldsmiths offering 0%. Why are Goldsmiths being dishonest?

Dud Diamond Ring

I purchased a white gold diamond ring in Goldsmiths - when a diamond went missing they sorted it free of charge and all was well however 3 weeks after that repair another 2 stones went missing and they are failing to do anything as they say it was damaged which I strongly dispute - This ring was priced at £1000 however I purchased it at £500 in their sale. The branch staff are fabulous to deal with however the Head Office are not - I am now going through NAJ as I have been a customer all my life and at the age of 60 have never had any issues ever with a piece of jewellery. I personally believe that the setting must have been damaged during first repair.
