Just been to Ernest Jones at Whitely…

Just been to Ernest Jones at Whitely and received excellent service from George, who re-set my watch which other people struggled with. He was very knowledgeable and polite, providing excellent tuition on how to re-programme my watch in the future.

I would like to leave a compliment for…

I would like to leave a compliment for Lorraine and her managers at your Newcastle upon Tyne Eldon Square. She served me today and was very friendly and understood my need to view and handle an item. She offered to hold it for me to give me some thinking time rather than making a rash purchase. This worked well as giving it further thought and holding the object I went ahead with the purchase. Do not underestimate the use of stores for this. Most of your competitors did not have the item and directed me to buy online! That is why our shops are closing. Thanks again Lorraine I will definitely be shopping for other items in this store.

Friendly and Personal Service

I came into my local branch of Ernest Jones as I was encountering difficulties with the online order for a new engagement ring. There was a sale on, but the error with the website meant the offer ended that night.

Nabila helped me resolve the issue and ensured i didnt lose out on the discount, due to the issues with the website. She proceeded to help me with the new order. Everything was nice and straightforward. We had a good chat throughout the process, nothing was forced and I didn't feel like I was being pushed into a sales discussion.

We had previously been in the store a few days before where Sophie had provided some advice and guidance to us about ring types and suitable materials.

I wanted to wait until the proposal before posting a review, just incase my partner saw any trust pilot emails on our shared account.

Faulty items and self service customer service

I thought I was lucky to recieve a Diamond heart necklace for my birthday last May and the matching bracelet for Christmas.
Both broke - same fault however necklace no longer under warranty so a charge of £69 to fix this is payable.
I refuse to pay this the Cardiff branch advise to complain - I complained they advise to take the pieces to the Cardiff branch clearly had not read the emails. Then tell me to ring another number - I give up gifts total in excess for £500 and this is the service you receive for faulty items - go elsewhere part of Signet.
I will not wear the bracelet and will not have the necklace repaired as it will break again or be lost - not sure what else to do with this rubbish

The customer service from Samantha at…

The customer service from Samantha at Breahead Branch was outstanding, and helped when picking my wedding ring it was exactly what I was looking for. I was so pleased with the service I received from Ernest Jones and especially from Samantha. She went above and beyond to help me find the perfect wedding ring and kept in contact through email/ phoning while sending me options.I was very impressed with the quality of the product I received. Would definitely recommend and especially for those future brides!

The product was still purchased as a present at the asking price.

Thankyou so much for Kyle the manger…

Thankyou so much for Kyle the manger today, helping me sort out my platinum insurance.
I was robbed whilst on holiday in Greece, of my gold bracelet.
My mum had bought in February for my 18th birthday.
Kyle was so pleasant and helpful also concerned that I was robbed.
Kyle spoke to the insurance and I had replacement bracelet back on my wrist within 20 minutes.
I am so glad I had the insurance.
Thanks also to the girl that greeted me, sorry didn’t catch your name.
Thankyou for making a horrible situation, turn out to be ok.

Emma is the jewel of Stevenage store! …

Emma at the Stevenage store has been outstanding in her knowledge and customer service skills.
She has offered great information regarding engagement rings and been so helpful during the decision making process. Can tell from the stories she shared she has helped many in the same situation!
She also helped me with a necklace repair that didn’t quite go to plan, but her customer care turned the situation around.

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE AFTER SALES ADVICE

I bought a Michael Kors watch last year, worn it a handful of times and now there is discoloration on the strap. Sent it off to see if they could repair it but because it isn't in warranty they are charging me £260 and I bought the MK watch for £165. What a joke. Customer service is awful. No complaints team, the customer service person is the complaints team, no manager, nothing. Unbelievable. Avoid at all costs. This is the first and last time I will buy anything from EJ.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT THIS PLACE AND GO ELSEWHERE.

Staff are extremely rude and unwelcoming specially Shirvani and Stevie. Purchased a wedding ring and got married in June. After a week my ring looks like it’s been worn for years. Was advised by the staff to go with this ring “due to it being hard wearing and heavy duty”. Called up store after wearing it for less than a week to be advised by Stevie it’s a metal and it will scratch.

This is not something that I will be buying everyday and being advised by them that it’s heavy duty and will last a long time, now I’ve lost trust and feel like I’ve been miss sold an item.

Been back and forth with the customer service and the actual store for months, who blame each other and none of them take responsibility. Refusing to give me a refund and take the ring back. Confirmed by store every gold products they have it’s actually plated and none of them are real gold. The staff would lie to you about anything and everything to sell you something fake and deny everything they’ve said.

DO NOT purchase or trust this establishment. Take your money and time elsewhere. Now stuck with a ring that I can’t wear and wasted my money on.

Having shopped with Ernest Jones

Having shopped with Ernest Jones for over 40 years, our shop experience and impression of staff has not changed. Scott (Lincoln branch today 26.07.24) was extremely helpful. His knowledge and professional manner were exemplary. Our first purchase at 18 years of age was an engagement ring, followed by a wedding and then eternity ring. Many other items have been bought since then. Today, we bought a wedding and engagement ring to replace the rings that had become too small.

A lovely lady who helped me order my white gold bangles

A lovely lady, helped me find the white gold bangles I was looking for.
I don't know her name, but she was more than helpful.
We came from Shrewsbury, so she will know who she is and who we are.
The only downside was the lack of air-conditioning.
I actually don't know how colleague's can work in that heat.
I found it unbelievable that Earnest Jones was not Air-conditioned?

Overall a good experience

Initially i struggled to order a ring, i did have to do it from my laptop as it was not working fully on my phone. Overall though i was able to buy a ring that i wanted and liked, my second option though unfortunatly.

Absolute trash quality

I bought a pearl bracelet from them that lasted just two months. They blame their poor quality on accidental damage. Absolutely trash after sales service. Stay clear if you do not want to waste your money.

Trafford Centre

My husband and I choose a beautiful diamond bracelet last week for my birthday, lady who served us was so helpful and lovely.
I wore the bracelet for two days and noticed a diamond was missing! I was devastated. I hadn't done anything to cause it to happen and couldn't find the diamond.
We went back to the store this morning and they replaced with no fuss. Same lady served us again and she was so very kind. We took out insurance this time just in case.
So I would like to say how grateful and thankful I am to the staff at the Trafford Centre store. All customer service should be this good. Excellent.

Bought engagement and wedding ring

Bought engagement and wedding ring. 3 diamonds fell out and they would not replace or repair. They said the rings had an impact yet we can recall no such event. However you would expect the rings to survive a minor impact and the diamonds not to fall out of their settings. Terrible customer service afterwards. I would advise to look elsewhere for jewellery.

My husband was looking for a new wedding band but unsure of design or size. Roxy was so helpful, nothing was too much trouble and she helped us find what we were looking for and have since ordered it so thank you very much!
