Sir Jim Ratcliffe sends HILARIOUS message to Man United star Luke Shaw ahead of England's Euro 2024 final against Spain

Sir Jim Ratcliffe has sent Luke Shaw a humorous message ahead of England's Euro 2024 showdown with Spain.

Shaw has featured from the bench in England's last two games after recovering from injury.

There have been calls for the left-back to start against Spain, but Mail Sport's information is that Kieran Trippier will retain the left wing-back slot from the start.

All the same, Manchester United co-owner Ratcliffe has a cautionary message for his full-back, who had not played a game since February before the quarter-finals against Switzerland.

'Luke, please don't pull your hamstring again,' he said on a BBC Sport videos with celebrities wishing England's stars good luck.

Shaw missed 34 games this season and his campaign was derailed by his hamstring injury in February - just when he had managed a few months of consistent football.

He looked assured coming on for England in the last two games and was given 45 minutes against the Netherlands, helping to keep their attack quiet in the second half.

Shaw has built a good England career for himself, making 33 appearances.

He is one of three England stars to have scored in a major tournament final after Geoff Hurst and Martin Peters in the 1966 World Cup final.

The full-back scored the fastest goal in European Championship final history against Italy in 2021, netting after a minute and 57 seconds to put England 1-0 up over Italy.

George Russell also took part in BBC Sport's good-luck video, saying: 'The thing I love about this England squad is they've had a game plan, stuck to it, super determined, and it has got us to the final.'
