Accessible Emergency Communications

The Minnesota Commission of the Deaf, DeafBlind & Hard of Hearing welcomes you to our training page, designed for our media partners.

Below is a list of resources with best practices, a mock news conference that highlights why this is an important issue to deaf, deafblind, and hard of hearing Minnesotans, and examples of suggested screen framing.

Thank you for helping us with this mission.

The framing used in this exercise serves as an example of the preferred screen framing for wide shots. We have two examples of tighter framing that works better for mobile devices and small televisions.
What To Do (Example 1, Mobile Friendly)
You can zoom in to ensure that the people in the video are visible enough on mobile devices and small televisions.
