Marian Potter has a background in nonprofit and governmental finance and management, starting her career as an executive director of a small nonprofit in New York State. She moved on to the Office of Management and Budget for Louisville Metro Government and then was appointed purchasing director, where she oversaw all governmental contracts, accounts payable, financial IT systems, and business relationships with government agencies. After five years as CFO/COO of the Filson Historical Society in Louisville, Marian moved back to Minnesota, her home state, and is very happy to be back in a government role at MAD.
Marian received a BA from Oberlin College in 2000, with majors in Women’s Studies and Economics. She is currently working on an MBA from Carlson School of Management and expects to get her degree in 2024.
