What do you do when your sister’s getting married and your ex is the best man?

Being dumped sucks. Being dumped after four years and getting kicked out of the house? That sucks more.

Sadly, I can’t avoid him forever. Not when he’s the best man in my sister’s wedding. But like hell am I facing him alone.
So how can a painfully single Omega get out of this mess? Not a clue, but I’ll tell you what not to do. Ready?

Don’t hire a pack of male escorts to take you to the wedding. If you do, you can’t sleep with them. No matter how incredible they smell or how well they treat you.

Definitely don’t let them take care of you, and don’t let them show you pleasure you’ve never had before.

And you absolutely cannot, under any circumstances, fall in love with them. They’re not yours.

Because when everything is said and done, this is just pretend… right?

Endless is a standalone reverse harem Omegaverse. No choosing, no cheating, and a guaranteed HEA! This book is part of a series of standalones, and can be enjoyed on its own, without reading any other books in the series. Content Warnings available on the author's website.

Wow.
I was not expecting spice so good…
There was a lot. And all kinds. And such absolute filth poured from their mouths in endless waves. It was glorious.
And the healing and growing that Isolde(still have no clue if I’m saying that name even remotely correctly inside my head) did over the course of the book, with all the love that the pack surrounded her in. So nice. So satisfying.

This was just so much better than the omegaverse version of ‘The Wedding Date’ that I was expecting after reading the blurb.

Loved this sweet and spicy read! Isolde doesn’t want to show up alone to her sister’s wedding since her ex bf of 4 years is the best man. She listens to her friend’s crazy idea to call the St. James pack, who work as escorts, and asks them to go with her to the wedding.

All the men in the pack are so sweet and so protective of her. They instantly know Isolde is the one for them, but they know about her ex and they don’t want to scare her away. I really related to Isolde and her trust issues from past relationship trauma. The pack finds ways to shower her with love and care without giving her the full truth until she is ready. Their constant love and support is the dream for every girl. Best of all, no 3rd act break up!! The story was well written, the plot flowed well, and the spice was spicy! Highly recommend. Can’t wait to see what happens next with Ocean.

I liked Isolde and I really liked her pack: Vaughn, Cade, Rowan, Joel, and Hawk. The premise is great. She hires a pack of escorts as dates for her sister's wedding because her douchey ex is the best man. I loved that they knew immediately she was their scent match and treated her as such from the start. The catch is that she doesn't know and is worried all of their loveliness is temporary. Isolde also has to face just how badly she was treated in her previous relationship. All of her relationship wariness would have worked better for me if the time span since her relationship ended had been shorter (it was a year).

All of Sinclair's books are sexy and feature some kink, but this was the most kink-centric of her OV books.

Truthfully, I do wish the plot line with the douchey ex hadn't featured so heavily. I also don't think we got to know the guys as well as some of her previous books, however the men treated her with such care and respect that I could overlook it. And, they do say they knew eveything was quick (timeline is 3 weeks) and they were eager to know more about her and her about them.

I am 100% invested in the world and can't wait to get Trinity's and Ocean's stories!

FMC needs a fake date to her sister’s wedding where her ex is the best man, but make it omegaverse and her fake date is an entire pack of hot men? Yes, please! This was truly tropetastic and I loved that. Isolde’s 5 men really delivered on the spoiling/caregiving (both in the steamy and non-steamy way).

My only complaint is there were too many MMCs. There wasn’t enough time in the story to develop their characters properly, which meant I couldn’t tell 3 of them apart and was tracking them all by their kink preference. 🤣

Aside from that, I really enjoyed this book.

I liked the plot within this novel, it was a fun idea. Being scent matched to the escorts Isolde hired so that she wouldn't have to face her ex at her sisters wedding, was just the tip of the iceberg and it was good. However, I do have a few qualms.

The first thing that I'm not a fan of is the fact that the name "Cade" was used for one of the MMC. The reason I'm not a fan of this is because in Devyn Sinclair's Slate City Omegaverse series, the first novel (Knot Your Damn Omega) also had a MMC with the name "Kade". I'm just not a fan of recycling the same name for a completely different main character from one novel to the next. There are thousands of names to choose from, it didn't have to be the same one and I don't care what anyone says the K to a C letter changes doesn't make a difference when it's pronounced the same. I wouldn't have an issue if it was a secondary or side character, but for a main character the name is a bit too important to be reusing the same ones.

Also, I found that so often things got dragged on, especially with Isolde. I finished this book in 2 days (which is normal for me), but I found that there were times I just wanted her to shut up and get on with it. Like I get the point that she would get stuck in her head, but there comes a time where her just wallowing over the same thing for several pages became tiresome and annoying.

I absolutely hated how Joel was the least mentioned Pack member out of all of them. He has one chapter pov at the beginning and then he's vaguely mentioned, while all the other pack members have more consistently spaced chapter pov's and interaction with Isolde, and then about 60% into the book we finally get a second Joel pov. Both before and after that he has such brief interaction with her, even during their one on one time together she's asleep for most of it. After that he's once again vaguely mentioned and briefly talks even when he did get a few more pov's (3 total, with 2 in the last 40% of the book while the others were very evenly spaced). It was absolutely infuriating. This was probably the first time I've read Devyn Sinclair's omegaverse and seen such blatant favouritism between Pack members. It was very very clear that Isolde preferred both Hawk and Rowan, they were the ones that had the most relevant plotlines happen within their chapters besides her own pov and the ones she sought out or who interacted with her the most. Once again, infuriating. It's not because I don't like those character, because I do like both Hawk and Rowan as well as the others, but when it's supposed to be a why choose... the whole point is to be on equal ground, with equal love, not create a closer connection to some rather than all.

I've read all of the Slate City books and was a big fan, but I found that there was just something missing from this one. Like the Pack wasn't described as in detail as I'm used to from previous work, the steamy scenes dragged on in a very confusing way (couldn't really picture how they were all positioned in certain ways without getting in each others way), and there wasn't as much world building as I would have hoped since this is a separate universe from the Slate City Series with a different portrayal of omegaverse. Something just felt so off about this book and I'm not sure what it is. I assume that the next book in the series will be with Ocean, then the third will be Trinity... hopefully I like those ones better.

****4.5****

This was a really lovely story. I love sweet omegaverse stories, they're just comfort reads to me.

In this one, we've got an FMC recovering from a creep that dumped her a year ago. The guy was abusive, but in that really insidious way that is spirit-crushing without being overt. She didn't see it. Even now, a year later, she doesn't see it. She hates that he dumped her so cold-heartedly, but she doesn't see how he crushed her over the 4 years they were together. So much so that when he flipped a switch and kicked her to the curb, she was so shattered she ran across the country, away from her family, because she couldn't face anyone. She felt like a failure as an omega, that this alpha tried and tried with her until he couldn't take how worthless she was anymore, and dropped her like trash at the curb.

Now, a year later, she's going to have to go home and face everything she left, because her baby sister is getting married and she's the maid of honor. And her ex is the best man. Utterly sick at the thought of having to face him and his perfect life and new fiancee, she hires a pack escort service to pretend they're together and happy.

Things quickly stop being pretend. I'm sure you can mostly imagine it from there. We slowly get to see the abuse, as the FMC slowly realizes it too, helped by this pack of alphas who know from their first encounter that she's their scent-match / fated mate...but can't tell her yet because she's closed herself off fiercely, hurt and scared and alone. They think if they tell her, she'd run. I think they're right.

It's a beautiful journey of healing for her character, and the guys are so great with her. They're not super distinct, if I'm being honest, but imo it was fine because it's not really about them. It's about her, and this path of understanding what she'd been through, and moving forward from there, realizing she deserves to be happy, loved.

Another thing I want to say that I loved about this book is her family. I feel like it's become super common for FMCs to come from shitty families (and this FMC had a best friend in this book - who its hinted will be the lead in the next book - that is in exactly that situation), and while that's okay, I loved this more. Her mother, father, and sister were wonderful, and dealing with a shitty complex situation - their daughter/sister was with a guy they didn't like, but she was so besotted by his charming mask that she wouldn't hear their warnings. They wanted to help her but couldn't. And then she ran and they knew she was devastated, but also that she wanted space from all of them while she was hurting. It's a lovely, complicated, layered situation for her family character arc, and I appreciated it. They love her, unwaveringly so. But they didn't know how to help her. Also, they're rich, but not snobby assholes ... and boy is that rare in these kinds of books. When they inevitably find out that the guys are escorts,

Really really loved it. I'll definitely re-read it.

2.5 stars. This might be a case of “it’s me, not the book.” If you’re in the mood for an RH omegaverse that’s low conflict and low plot, you may like it. It's not terrible, it just was Not For Me. And, among the 3 books from this author that I've read - including Knot Your Damn Omega and Knot for a Moment - this book was the worst one.

This is an RH omegaverse with 1 heroine, 5 heroes. The heroine is going to her sister’s wedding, and her evil ex will be there with his new fiancée. The heroine blew up her life and ran away after her bad breakup with her ex. She’s feeling anxious about seeing him again. So, she hires a pack of male escorts to pretend to be her dates. It turns out she’s their scent match, which the guys realize, but she doesn’t. So, they wait for the right time to tell her. That's the extent that this book has a "plot," aside from a sprinkling of her evil ex randomly popping up to be mean.

This needed fewer heroes. The guys’ personalities all blended together. None of them were distinctive. And, a few of them fell by the wayside and hardly got page time.

But, the biggest issue is that the heroine felt like “poor little rich girl.” Her problems were NOT big enough for her to blow up her life and be emotionally wrecked over. I’m not saying that a breakup can’t negatively impact you! But aside from that 1 hiccup of having a shitty ex, her life was great. She was rich, had a loving family, supportive friends, and a pack of 5 guys ready to worship her. She needed to be more isolated – or her problems needed to be worse – in order to warrant the level that she was spiraling about it. And, to justify the level that everyone was tip-toeing around her. It TRULY felt like this was all happening for no real reason.

Everyone’s problems are valid – I’m not saying this heroine needed to suffer hardcore. It’s fine for a book to have a heroine with “mundane” issues. Not every book needs a heroine with melodramatic problems. But, as it stands, it felt like there was so much fussing over her, when that wasn’t earned. This story wasn’t balanced.

It’s unsatisfying for a dark romance to have the hero treat the heroine terribly, and then not grovel. This book was the opposite of that, but just as unsatisfying– it was unbalanced in the opposite direction. Everyone was worshipping and coddling the heroine, to "make up for" her suffering, when there wasn't much to "make up for." She had a great life! So, the emotions fell flat. And since the main plot was, "Let's coddle this girl who doesn't need coddling," this got boring.

The third issue is, although the heroine’s sister is supportive and gives the heroine permission to have her own drama with her men, it STILL felt like the heroine was making her sister’s wedding all about herself. So, it’s hard to feel invested in a heroine who feels like “poor little rich girl,” makes a mountain out of a molehill by acting like her problems are huge when her life is actually great, and comes across as self-centered.

But, I’m a clown, because this book set up her 2 friends to get their own books, and 1 of them seems to be in a forced marriage. So, I am curious to check that one out, even though I KNOW this author is allergic to writing interesting conflict, so that will most likely end up being a non-issue in that book.

DISCLAIMER: I received an ARC in exchange for my review but that in no way influences the opinions I am about to express.

Ok, on to the review.....

I LOVE Devyn Sinclair and this book was really really sweet but I don't think it's going to ascend to level of love I have for the Slate City Omegas (SCOs).

As always, my loves first.....

- This is a new omegaverse. It did not follow the same rules as the SCO books. It is really apparent really quickly and I double checked and she does specify it is a different omegaverse. I thought the change was actually a really smart plot device that she utilized well. It's also SO interesting because omegaverse rules are usually standard across all an authors books even if the characters aren't interconnected.

-Devyn Sinclair is my throat goat. Nobody else can pull off oral knotting as well as she can.

- Like I said above, this is superrrrrr sweet. Just a lot reassurance and love being poured into the FMC.

- *slight trigger/ spolier* I found the portrayal of emotional abuse and degradation of self to be very truthful. As I'll state below, I struggled to connect with the characters in this book but this part was the most authentic to me. The thought processes and rhetoric that comes from a person who has been severely emotionally abused are echoed with scary accuracy. This brought the fmc into a much more positive light.

Now, onto some of the stuff that contributed to the removal of the star. Most of these are personal things that impacted my reading enjoyment and doesn't mean that everyone will feel the same as I do.

- I struggled to connect with these characters. I felt like they didn't have super clear, core personalities. For the MMCs I felt like there was little to no development between them and their lives and their individual relationships. I literally started referring to them by their kinks because that is one of the main things that is differentiated between them. I value the individual relationships between a fmc and a mmc. All of the fmc's one-on-one scenes didn't really focus on the development of their long term realtionship but rather the development of their sexual relationship. I also struggled to connect with the fmc as well. I sympathized with her a lot and as I said above, I found the emotional abuse aspect of the story very truthful. But I felt like she was just an empty vessel for the mmcs to pour their love into until she was magically fixed. She didn't really have any hopes or dreams outside of graphic design. I wanted more personality besides abused and self-loathing. It ended up bothering me that most of what seemed to "fix" her was so dependent in the mmcs. It's nice to have outside validation but it is not healthy to base your entire self worth on it. I did like the scene at the rehearsal dinner but I wished it felt more in line with her character and she had been working up to it through the entire book.

- the timeline here seemed weird to me. In a couple of ways. The first was that it is originally said that she was arriving 3 weeks before her sisters wedding but the actual timeline in book leading up to the wedding seemed a lot shorter. The other timeline issue is the whole year away with the ex just bided his time. It just read weird to me. Like she comes back and he's immediately feral to get back with her and just gets more and more unhinged. And it's later passed off as he always wanted to get back together with her. Idk I guess I just don't buy that that type of psycho goes dormant for year. Instead, I feel like it would provoke him into stalking her across the country.

My final review is that this is a sweet book with some nice kink but it doesn't have some of the most important factors that really elevate rh to a five for me.

Sweet omegaverse about a girl who hires a hot pack of escorts to be her date at her sister's wedding--because her dickhead ex is the best man. Troperiffic rom-com setup but the part I thought was especially well done was Isolde slowly realizing how terrible her relationship with Beau had been. He did a number on her, starting with love-bombing and then boiled-frogging her with increasing emotional abuse until her self-esteem was in tatters.

Her pack of escorts instantly realizes she's their scent-matched mate, but in this OV, omegas don't know until their heat hits. The pack goes into super courting mode and does everything they can to woo Isolde and help her heal from Beau's abuse, part of which is helping her realize there was abuse in the first place. Cue tons of delicious spoiling and pampering.

I would have liked more on the guys' backstories. How did they end up with each other? Why did they decide to do the work they do? Etc. But overall a sweet and emotional omegaverse with some gentle kinky spiciness.

Seven Sinclair always delivers with her of novels. She is able to provide a depth of feeling and gives a fully formed character, more than just the expected tropes you see in novels to provide a HEA.

Not much plot. The best friends are OBVIOUSLY only in the book so they can have spin off books written about them. It’s not a book I would recommend. That being said the book is written well, and I did enjoy the characters.

”Because each of us knows what it’s like to go through something alone, and desperately need someone to be there with you. Especially if someone is going to judge you. The fear climbs up your spine and your throat and it feels like your lungs are so full of rocks you can’t take a full breath. And all you want is someone to stand in that space with you. We like taking care of people.”

I am a big fan of the Slate City series so you can imagine my excitement when a new Omegaverse one was announced! Clarity Coast series kicks off with Endless, Isolde’s story. With her ex being the best man at her sister’s wedding, our Omega needs a date in order not to face him alone. Hiring a pack of escorts? Definitely best done when drunk.

Upon meeting Isolde at the airport, the 5 males of the St. James pack realize she is their scent match. In this series, omegas can only recognize their match during their heat so although our girl is attracted to their scents, to her, their time together has an expiry date. Not to mention that her last relationship has left emotional scars that have not yet healed.

I loved Isolde as an FMC and just wanted to wrap her in blankets and protect her. Her fears and insecurities were real, and they didn’t magically disappear just because she met the right persons. Her pack knew when to step in and become her shield, and when to simply stay back so she could fight some battles on her own. My eyes were not always dry, I tell you. Now the men…

Can you believe I have been unable to pick a clear cut favourite up until now? Rowan, Hawk, Vaughn, Cade and Joel all had something I love. They were well nuanced and the bromance scene between Vaughn and Joel was wonderful, I loved that moment. And the chase scene? Holy moly geezus on a cracker— that is all I shall say while I lie on the floor.

Devyn mentioned that this series is like an homage to her beloved ocean and I felt that. The vibes are much less intense than Slate City but when it comes to hurt/comfort trope, she is a pro. I cannot wait for Ocean’s book and I leave you with one of the best passages in the book:

”I want all of you. I know it’s crazy and impossible, but f*ck me, I want all of you at once.”

Rowan crawled next to us. “Why is that crazy and impossible?”

I strained to kiss him and he closed the distance. Too gentle for how I felt. “Because I’m not cheese.”

A laugh burst out of Hawk. “Baby girl. Cheese?”

“You know the cheese with all the holes in it? I don’t have enough holes.”

Isolde got dumped in the worst way. Embarrassing. She just needs to get away. So she packs up and hits the road needing a break from the city of Clarity. Only to have to return for her sister’s wedding and worse….he will be there. So in order to avoid the gossip and drama that is so prevalent in town, Isolde hires a pack to attend the wedding with her to ease the stress of having all eyes on her. What she doesn’t know is that the pack is like a large blinking sign. A sign that she becomes attracted to and when the wedding weeks are done will she be able to walk away unscathed or is the ruse going too deep?

Review:
Woe is me, what it must be to be Isolde. To have a plethora of beautiful delicious smelling men who are literally willing to wait on you hand and foot. To take care of all your needs and be attentive and know what you need even when you yourself don’t even know what you need.
To have a fierce protector who will let no harm come to you and protects you from every thing and everyone even sometimes your own thoughts. Or to have a person who is so sure in himself and helps to keep you grounded and in touch with reality.
This book made me feel. All the things and was real loud with the if he wanted to be would lol. This would was really fun to delve into and explore especially since the city is named Clarity which is what my girl needed lol.
Isolde and her best friends are a sight to see they have her back even when the situation is bleak.
This is ALOT. There are 5 guys and 5 smells to remember and it took a bit of getting used too however I liked the little reminders of who’s who and how I could differentiate who was who I had fun in this world.

Thank you Devyn and Chaotic Creatives for this copy to review!!

The story wasn’t bad, but it also wasn’t super captivating either. It had a lot of slow moments and a lot of mental healing type content where the FMC is just self doubting and then being reassured. The storyline is interesting, but there’s also a lot of filler moments. I found some stretches to be boring and I kept putting the book down to read other books every few chapters. I ended up kinda speed skimming the last quarter because I wanted to know the ending but I totally lost interest in all the relationship details and sex. If you like drawn out stories with lots of pastoral scenes then I’m sure you’d like this one.

This book was so good! It was a fun and heart-warming read. It has been a very long time since I have read such an endearing book - Just super sweet with a healthy dose of spice to go along with it!

I loved experiencing Isolde coming into herself as she starts to accept the men who want to be in her life, and that what she experienced in her previous relationship was not the norm.

I adored the pact and all of the different elements they brought into relationship. I thought that the way that Devyn Sinclair handled the reverse harm was tactful and beautiful… they all existed for Isolde and making sure that the was cared for in every way while simultaneously exsisting as a cohesive unit / pack.

Though this book was sweet and cute, it definitely contained substance. I appreciated the look into how some people are accurately able to see clearly the situation that they are truly in when they are in the middle of said situation/relationship…and it is hard to piece together what others are saying when you want everything to desperately work out because you think that is what should happen.

I loved the formatting of this book and how is POV had their own heading artwork that represented the character. I love when authors take the time to make sure this little detail is included. It goes a long way with me.

This is the first book that I have read that did not have a 3rd ACT breakup and it was a glorious thing! I was not stressing out, and I enjoyed the romance of this book without interruption.

This was was my first book by Devyn Sinclair, and it wont be my last. I love the story and the writing, and could easily see her becoming an auto-buy author.

I didn't care for the book,  but I did love this little bit from it.
- pg. 78 (Isolde) "You guys are so good at this. " (Hawk) "Good at what?" (Isolde) " Pretending. Making me feel like someone worth... anything. I can see why you're the best. "   I am a sucker for lack of self-worth.
I really don't care for omegaverse books that are based on scent matches and constantly describing how the characters smell. I get it a little bit, but at the same time, it can be overkill and just becomes repetitive. I pretty much lost interest around the halfway point.

I wasn't really able to distinguish one guy from the next, unfortunately. That's a lie they each had their own kink.
Rowan: craves complete control
Hawk: voyeur
Cade: (beta) practices shibari & is a dominant
Vaughn: primal play
Joel: the caretaker, giving comfort and cuddles

Chapters 31 & 32, the primal scene was just weird. It felt off and out of place. Like the author was trying to throw a bunch of different kinks together to individualize each of the guys. I don't know why, but the whole thing just pissed me off, and it was all due to Isolde. The whole bad-ass bitch attitude just rubbed me the wrong way and didn't fit her character from the fist thirty chapters.

Things I thought were overkill:
- the never-ending inner monologues about Beau
-  a lot of things just seemed over dramatized, which was then eye worthy
- the lack of being able to orgasm
- the never-ending check-ins from the guys. "Is this ok?"

This book is SO GOOD. The story, the characters, the pack, the heat level (so well done).

But I’m one starring it because her sister and parents knew she was being cheated on and just never told her?? And she forgave them even if though they acted like there was no right time to tell her because she was SAD??? HUH??

Nope I put it down after that.

But the spicy scenes are so well done. One of my favourites. I wish the end wasn’t like that.

This is an easy read, soft and fluffy omegaverse. I enjoyed the first half but then I started to get bored as the same thing was going on in each chapter and there wasn't enough angst for me to make this a plot I really got into. In a way, this book was too nice. There wasn't enough character building for me to tell the men apart and overall it just fell flat for me.

4.5 Stars! Another phenomenal omegaverse romance from Devyn Sinclair! Endless is the first book in a new series and I absolutely fell in love with Isolde and the pack she is fake dating. At 5% in, I was already totally invested in Isolde and her happiness, curious about her family dynamic, and wondering about the breakup with Beau.

When Beau ended their four year relationship with no warning, Isolde ran to the opposite coast. Beau is now engaged, it's time for her sister's wedding with Beau as the best man, so Isolde is returning to Clarity Coast. How can she face Beau, all the lies, rumors, and fake sympathy? BFF Trinity saves the day with her introduction to a pack of male escorts!

The St. James pack is fascinating, and I love how they immediately ditched their planned fake personas the moment they scented Isolde. This omegaverse exists with a few different "rules" in how the designations and mating work, but it's easy to follow and it worked well for this storyline. The alphas and beta in the St. James pack were strong, protective, and dedicated to caring for Isolde. Taking care of their omega includes all the spicy scenes inherent to an omegaverse pack! I do feel that one less alpha would have made it easier to keep the guys separate in my mind. Five is a lot!

The resolution to the situation with Beau just didn't feel satisfying for me. I was expecting something more for the why of his decisions and actions.

Isolde, Trinity, and Ocean, bffs since forever, and the strong bond between Isolde and her sister added a strong female sisterhood dynamic, which added depth to Isolde's character. Ocean's mysterious comments and behavior lead perfectly into the next book, of which I assume she will be the focus.

Endless is a must read for omegaverse and why choose romance lovers!
