Aldi fans around Australia were shocked after spotting a variety of British snacks in the popular 'Special Buys' middle aisle.

Natalia, from Sydney, stumbled across the products on a recent shop and was in utter disbelief.

'I'm actually going to cry,' she said in a video while holding up a packet of Smith's Prawn Cocktail chips, a sub-brand of Walkers.

'My parents are in England at the moment and they're bringing back some packets.. now I have more which I'm so happy about.'

Natalia was also ecstatic about the cheese and pickles, and Worcestershire sauce flavour chips. Customers can also get their hands on bags of Galaxy Minstrels and Little Rolo chocolate.

Aldi Australia has released a range of British snacks for a limited time

Emily, who's from the UK but now lives in Melbourne, managed to pick up the snacks that reminded her of home.

'Every British person is rushing to Aldi right now and this is why. I have missed British chocolate so much,' she said in a TikTok video.

'I don't even like prawn cocktail crisps but I know everyone is going to get these.'

Both videos have since caught the attention of the masses and hundreds hoped to grab some treats.

'None in my Aldi - so disappointed,' one wrote.

'I live in the outback, we don't have an Aldi and I am DEVASTATED,' another said.

A third wrote: 'I've spent eight years looking for prawn cocktail crisps! My local had better have some or it'll break my heart.'

But others questioned if the snacks can be purchased elsewhere all year round.

'Isn't there a Reject Shop in Melbourne? Has loads of chocolate and sweets from the UK all the time,' one wrote.

Last month shoppers spotted bars of Tony's Chocolonely in the 'Special Buys' section and was shocked by the $4.99 pricetag.

The cult-favourite chocolate, hailing from the Netherlands, sent customers wild last year after launching in Coles and Woolworths for $8 each.

'$4.99, seriously? They've got white chocolate strawberry cheesecake and the dark milk chocolate brownie,' Gemma said in a TikTok video.
