Sophie Monk had some dental work done this weekend and she was left drooling afterwards.

The 44-year-old shared a number of videos to Instagram Stories in which she went in to have a filling done.

First she sat in a dentist's chair, wearing goggles, ready to face the drill and have a cavity fixed.

Afterwards, Sophie's face was left partially paralysed by the local anesthetic, with the blonde beauty struggling to control her expressions.

'Try and smile after a filling,' she wrote in her caption, and made various attempts to do so, each time her mouth drooping open in a goofy manner.

'It feels like my nose got longer,' the TV host said in one clip, before attempting to whistle, which she said she was 'normally good at'.

Sophie gave it a go, managing only to make thin, flatulent hisses from her drooling mouth instead of managing to produce a tune.

While at first look Sophie appeared like the victim of a plastic surgery gone wrong, the effects of local anesthetic are temporary and she'll regain full use of her face within one to four hours on average.

Monk's appearance has changed significantly over the years, supposedly as the result of non-surgical cosmetic treatments like Botox and fillers.

Sophie, who hails from Queensland's Gold Coast, has admitted to having filler to her top lip in the past, following the botched removal of a cyst.

'Half of my lip was removed with the cyst, and I was advised to get filler in my top lip to help balance it out,' she told Who magazine in the past.

She regretted her decision, however, saying: 'I should have said no to the filler in the first place but I trusted the doctor.

'I'm so sick of people saying that just because of my lips, I've has surgery everywhere.'

While Sophie has confessed to having lip fillers, it has also been claimed she has undergone rhinoplasty - something she denies.

There was previously speculation she'd had a breast enlargement, but the former Bachelorette insisted in 2014 that her chest was real.

In fact, she claimed on 2DayFM that if she were to have surgery on that area it would be a breast reduction.

'I want a boob reduction, they're a 32D and at times a DD' she said at the time.

'They get in the way when I do sports but doctors told me to leave them alone, women die for those things'.
