Verification Health Analytics

The Verification Health dashboard in the Analytics section of Guru's web app provides a "verification score" which represents the percentage of your workspace's content that is verified. This dashboard helps your team's subject matter experts, knowledge managers, and hands-on admin monitor the health of the information stored in Guru.

Showing verifiers the usage of their content and explaining the impact of untrusted content (decreased adoption and increased shoulder tapping) encourages these subject matter experts to verify their Cards. Ensuring that popular Cards remain up to date is essential for long-term adoption and success.

Note

All Analytics widgets will update every 1-2 hours with your team's information. Analytics data will go back to the date that the user started using Guru.

Accessing the Verification Health analytics dashboard

Navigate to the Analytics in the web app and click on the Verification Health tab.

Understanding Verification Health reports

Below is a summary of each widget and the insights provided:

Verification score over time

  • An area chart displaying the workspace's verification score plotted weekly in the specified timeframe.
  • This report shows how trustworthy your information is in Guru. As a benchmark, we recommend keeping your workspace's verification score at or above 80%. This is represented by the solid horizontal line on the chart.

Unverified Cards by verifier

  • A horizontal bar chart displaying the workspace's verifiers (users and Groups), sorted by the total number of unverified Cards (highest to lowest).
  • This report shows the users and Groups who have the biggest influence on your workspace's overall verification score.
  • To view all rows (i.e. all users and Groups), download the report as a CSV.

Most urgent Cards to verify

  • A horizontal bar chart displaying the workspace's unverified Cards, sorted by the total number of all-time views (highest to lowest).
  • This report shows the top 10 Cards users rely on, even though the content is unverified. If you're not able to verify the Card yourself, you can request its verification.
  • To view all rows (i.e. all Cards), download the report as a CSV.

Downloading and scheduling report delivery

You can easily download individual reports as CSV files or schedule the entire dashboard to be emailed to you on a recurring basis.

Improving your team's verification score

Guru automatically helps you keep a high verification score by automatically archiving unused, unverified Cards meeting specific criteria each week. See Let Guru auto-archive unused knowledge for more information.

The Collection owner and authors set as "Verifier" have the biggest direct impact on the team's verification score. Each week, they should review their Tasks "To Review" queues: Unverified Cards and Auto Archive. Here, you'll go through each Card to verify or archive. You may also try creating a Knowledge Council to help divide out Collection verification responsibility.

If your content is coming up for verification too frequently, change the verification interval to reflect the appropriate frequency with which your Cards' content needs to be updated.

As your knowledge base grows, use the information found in the Verification Health analytics dashboard to guide your knowledge audits.

  • The "Unverified Cards by verifier" report shows you the most influential Groups and users contributing unverified Cards influencing your workspace's verification score. Follow up with these users to see what kind of support they may need.
  • Use the  "Most urgent Cards to verify" report to know which Cards to work on first. If you can't verify the Card yourself, request verification.

Card manager is an alternative to the Verification Health analytics dashboard. You can filter in Card Manager to see unverified Cards you have permission to view and sort the list by the most viewed Cards. From there, bulk verify Cards that you know do not need to be reviewed individually.
