August

Answers quality update

  • Answers will now provide more detailed and informative responses. This is a phased release, all users should expect this experience in their accounts this in the coming weeks.

Source Sync Status Enhancements

  • When clicking into the Connected Source, the modal now shows the name/type of the object, the object count, the Sync Status and the Last Completed Sync.

Custom Prompts are available for all customers

Slack as a Source Improvements

  • Connected Slack sources will now be available in search results and can be filtered.
  • The 25 channel limit for Slack as a source as been lifted.

Answers Language Optimization

  • Guru Answers will now detect what language a question was asked in and automatically answer in the same language.

Ability to filter in search using ! and # is back

  • We've re-released the ability to quickly filter your search by Collection (using !) or Tag (using #) within the search bar.

Github Issues, Zendesk Guide and Smartsheet are all available as Sources

  • Github Issues, Zendesk Guide and Smartsheet are now available to connect as a source.

Guru GPT

  • Guru GPT is a GPT for OpenAI that allows users to connect Guru to ChatGPT. Once connected, ChatGPT is able to utilize both internal content from Guru in addition to external content to answer questions. Guru GPT is only available for customers on Builder + GenAI, All-in-One, Expert and Enterprise editions.

Header and Navigation Updates

  • A prominent banner at the top of the Guru web app homepage has been released to help direct users on where to search Guru. This includes the transition of the Ask an Expert button to the top right avatar menu under Content Questions? Ask an Expert.

New Search Experience is available for all customers

Top Sources View in AI Training Center 

  • The Top Sources View feature is now available in the AI Training Center. This allows users to holistically see how different sources are performing when answering their questions.

  • GitHub Repository, Github Wiki and Confluence Pages are now available to connect as a source.

5/23: Text Alignment options now available in the Editor

  • Authors can now align text to the left, right, center, or justified within various elements of a Card.

5/15: Notion, Gitlab and Gong Sources as a source

  • Notion, Gitlab and Gong Sources are now available to connect as a source.

5/20: Navigation architecture refresh is complete

  • The final changes of the navigation architecture refresh include nested Users and Groups menu and relocation of certain settings to the Collections menu within the Manage section.

5/15: New Workspace Preference Page

  • A new 'Workspace Preferences' page has been created within the Manage section for various workspace configuration controls.

5/8: Settings is now called Manage

  • The Settings menu has been renamed to Manage, and is not visible to read-only users.

5/7: Ability to manually resync Google Sheets as a Source

  • Users now how the ability to manually resync Google Sheets when added as a source to Guru.

4/26: My Drafts now has its own page in the left nav

  • My Drafts has been moved out of My Library to its own page in the primary left navigation, visible only to users with an author role.

4/24: Collection Settings now has its own page within the Settings menu

  • Collection Settings now have a dedicated page within the Settings menu in preparation for future feature consolidations.

4/23: Navigation Changes

  • The AI Training Center has moved to a more prominent location, on the left hand navigation of the web app. 

  • The Sources page has been relocated to its own page within the Settings menu. 

  • A Tasks icon has been added to the top navigation for future enhancements to the Web App.

  • The Org Chart has been moved from the left navigation menu to the avatar menu.

3/28: Publishing Workflows

  • Collection Owners now have more control over their publishing process by limiting a user’s ability to publish content to a Collection so all content flows through an approval workflow.

3/21: Private Slack channels can now be added as a source for answers

  • Private Slack channels can now be added as a source for Answers! Users setting this up will need to be a member of the private channel in order for it to be an option as well as being an admin in Guru to add the new source.

3/19: SFDC Knowledge Sync supports locale-specific syncing

  • A new dropdown has been added to the Knowledge Sync setup for SFDC allowing users to select a locale from their Salesforce domain for syncing.

3/7: Suggested Answers

  • The Suggested Answers feature in Slack can now be added to both public and private channels.

3/1: Card sharing settings

  • Now, when public Card sharing is disabled for a Collection, the checkbox for the ability to share file links publicly (when creating a Card in that Collection) is also disabled. Existing published Cards file sharing permission settings can be updated using Card Manager.

2/28: Add filters to scheduled reports

  • For teams that had connected Slack as a Source, when editing an answer in the AI Training Center (fka Expert Review) there would be a long list of generic Slack threads to choose from. To resolve this, we’ve removed Slack threads from the dropdown list of sources when editing an answer.

2/15: AI Training Center

  • This significant update introduces the newly renamed AI Training Center to customers. When customers edit an answer by updating the sources, these sources will now be used in future questions. Additionally, it provides Authors, Admins, and Collection Owners with a new page in their Tasks, displaying questions they’ve asked, answers they’ve edited, and answers that reference Cards they verify.

2/14: Suggested Answers in Slack Improvements

  • Admins can now choose what Collections and external sources are used to answer questions in Slack on a channel-by-channel basis.

2/1: Editor Improvements

  • Collapsible sections and callout boxes are now live for all customers.

1/31: Card Drafting experience improvements

  • Card Collection, folder(s), and tag(s) selection will now be maintained on card Drafts in the web app and extension.

1/25: External sources

  • We released 3 new external sources to sync to Guru: Sharepoint, OneDrive, and Slack. Folder selection sync was also released for file-based sources.
