Compensation

Minnesota Management and Budget (MMB) is accountable for consistent administration of the compensation program of the Executive branch. In accordance with statewide policies and the laws of the State of Minnesota. The Compensation and Classification department provides consultation, analysis and support on compensation issues to internal and statewide agency management and human resources. This includes drafting compensation policies, evaluating the effectiveness of current compensation systems and recommending changes, conducting salary surveys, conducting market analyses, compiling reports, reviewing and approving compensation requests, conducting compensation-related research, assisting in costing for collective bargaining, auditing agency compensation decisions, training HR staff on compensation principles, and leading or contributing to statewide compensation studies and special projects.
